Cannot get my FitBit to connect

I switched from a Jawbone UP24 to a FitBit and it will not connect to myfitnesspal to save my life! What am I doing wrong?

I just switched to a Fitbit too. I got the fitbit surge. Are you getting an error message or anything? What is it doing? I will do my best to try and help you get it connected.
Also, have you tried this:

I had to connect them and restart my computer. Are you trying to connect the computer websites or the phone? I found that if I connected the two websites first, the phone apps connected automatically.
ETA: I had no issues when I first got my Fitbit. They upgraded their website a couple of months ago and I had to do the restart to reconnect them after the upgrade.0 -
