So I love my sweets, and just cant help it. My question is, if I eat healthy most of the day, work out and do cardio regularly is it ok to have my sweets in moderation.

Yes, it's fine. For weight loss all that matters is calories. You can eat whatever you want and you'll lose weight if you're in your calorie allowance, no exercise necessary.0

as long as you don't go over your calorie goal, sweets are fine. my problem is, i can't stop at one mini-donut. LOL0

I love sweets too and I have some just about every day, within my total calorie goals. I have lost 27 lbs. so far.0

What do you mean by "sweets" and how much are you talking about?0

As long as its in calorie goal! And hey, it doesn't hurt to try to find creative low cal ways of curing that sweet tooth either. The internet is a beautiful thing.0

Why? Cure it? It's not a disease, if you aren't overeating, and it sounds she isn't.0 -

I eat dark chocolate in one form or another almost every night. You can pry it out of my cold, dead hands. My BMI is 22.1.0

I usually have a little chocolate and a can of pop every day. I just make it work with my calorie goal.0

I find a way to work 4 Hershey Nuggets into my daily menu to satisfy my chocolate craving but also stay in a deficit. It's been working so far, but now I'm trying to find that Arctic Ice that everyone keeps talking about. It's supposedly at my Giant, but I haven't found it. Grrr... And now I want chocolate chip cookies.... I will work it in.... :-)0

I love my sweets too. I've been finding that cereal helps satisfy the craving....either with or without milk.... it's a handy to snack to take to go too. Captn Crunch Peanut Butter Crunch satisfies my craving for Peanut butter too! But I know sometimes you just gotta have a certain type of sweet. Cake is my weakness!! So I've been getting angel food cake when I feel that I need it....good luck0

Skip it, it's horrible. Not worth the money. Tastes like slightly chocolate flavored ice chips, but freezer burned. Icky. Just get some ice cream and make that work.0 -
If you can make it fit, eat sweets! The only time I don't eat chocolate is when I know I have a long run coming up because sometimes I can feel awful, even the next day, after eating chocolate and running.0

Life's too short to eat bad food. Volume isn't always the answer to everything. I've been eating a small quantity of Talenti every night and enjoying every bit. Because it's delicious.
OP, yes, eating sweets in moderation totally works. As long as you eat an otherwise balanced diet and have some calories left to work them in, you're totally doing the whole thing in a sustainable way.

I just learned the danger of baking for my family. 3 "tester " peanut butter cookies. Calories wasted!!!0

Life's too short to not eat the things you enjoy in moderation. I eat plenty of healthy food and am still able to squeeze in the things I crave. If I cut out the things I love, I would more likely binge on it another day, which is worse. I continue to lose weight each week.

Really? Hmmm, ok. I've been hearing lots of raves about how good it is. Maybe I will just stick to my Nuggets. :-)
