I'm having surgery done on my foot and I won't be able to do any physical activity... I was wondering if there's any detoxes or diets I could do. Any advice will help!

No detoxes or even diets, really - all you need for weight loss is a calorie deficit, and that means consuming fewer cals than what your body burns all day long.
Enter your info in to MFP and set your activity level to sedentary, and then eat the calorie goal you're given. No need to come in way under goal, either - the daily goal already has you at a deficit, so you can hit that target every day.
Be as accurate as possible when logging food, and you're good to go!0 -

When it comes to losing weight a calorie deficit is more important than exercise so that shouldn't be a problem. There is no such thing as detox.0 -
Just eat at a calorie deficit, and you will lose. I lost a good part of my weight in the beginning without exercising at all. It's not necessary for weight loss.0

You don't need to exercise to lose weight - though it will help.
Set your activity level on MFP as sedentary and set a reasonable goal (depending on how much you have to lose, 0.5-1lb per week). Eat the calories you're then given as that number does NOT include any exercise whatsoever.

1) Track what you are eating (get a food scale so you are accurate)
2) Weigh yourself regularly (daily or weekly, more often if you need more focus, less often if you start obsessing about the number)
3) Start to reduce gradually until you are losing weight0 -

"Most weight loss occurs because of decreased caloric intake.
However, evidence shows the only way to maintain weight loss is to be engaged in regular physical activity."

This calculator from the Baylor College of Medicine will tell you not only your BMI, but how many servings of various foods to eat to maintain a particular weight. It takes into account, height, age, plumbing, activity level.
You could put in your goal weight, and if it's in the healthy BMI range just eat at that level.

As for "detox"...
If you really need to detox, you will be in ICU, not looking for some strange diet.
Your body eliminates all the toxins it creates via the liver, kidneys, lungs, skin, & colon.

I broke my pelvis seven weeks ago and I was worried that I would gain weight while sitting around. I stuck to my calorie allowance and I lost nearly two pounds per week. I'm a little out of shape now, but I'm also lighter.0
