We have the Wii. We love it. We have the Wii sports and when we play, we can break a sweat. It is great!!!!! Boxing is a great workout. Tennis is great, lots of moving. We also have Guitar Hero III. It is fun.
I think it is great because, you can download games from your computer, play against friends online, store pictures on it. It is great for all. My 3 year old plays too.
All the games require movement. Mario, pool, rabbit game. Whatever it may be, you are swinging something or lifting you arms.
I also think that the price is great. You are really getting a lot for your money.0 -
We have both the Wii and the PS2, and I'd say go with the Wii. It's SO FUN! Renee is so right that everyone can play and it's active.
Have fun!0 -
Katie - have you tried the fitness trainer game on the Ps2? I'm really only interested in the fitness stuff - computers take up way too much of my time as it is...0

The wii does not have to be run off a computer. You can download games from your computer if you would like. It runs like any other game system.0

I know - but I group them in the same category - t.v. is in there too. If you are staring at a screen it counts -
the wii has the benefit of being with others though...0 -
another thing that is fun to play is the dance dance revolution cause i think they have a setting on there thats called 'weight loss' or something and it counts all the calories you burn while you're playing and man do i work up a sweat on that!0
