Seeing on the other thread where people were posting successes with calorie counting I wanted to go one step further -

1. What are your daily calorie goals
2. Do you eat your exercise points
3. Total weight loss and time to lose it

Thanks!

    1. Currently 1500 per day, but average 1600 per day considering one high day per week.
    2. I track my exercise calories, I eat them back at some point in the week.
    3. Lost 30 pounds eating anywhere from 1400-1600 calories in 10 months.

    1. 1460 calories a day
    2. I only eat exercise calories back if I'm extra hungry (but only HRM calories! Not mfp estimates. They are sooo wrong)
    3. Lost 44 lbs so far in 7 months

    2. I eat based on my tdee, not mfp goal.
    3. Lost 52 pounds over the course of 12 months. Have lost 2 lbs. this year.

    1. Just under 7000 kj I think
    2. Only eat some exercise back, normally when it's a large amount like after I spent 20-40 mins exercising.
    3. 35-45kg in 250 days. What ever that is in pounds. I think it averages out to be 1.2kg per week.

    1. NET 1490 (1490+exercise)
For the past 30 days my average total intake has been 2006 calories
    2. Yes I do. I workout for fitness. I want to be stronger and faster. Bonus is it helps with body composition. I need to fuel these workouts or I won't make the progress I want. Plus, I've actually tried not eating them and well it had horrible results. At first it wasn't bad, but after a couple weeks my workouts suffered and I felt like crap (tired and migraines that wouldn't go away). The problem was my deficit became too large. My TDEE is around 2500 currently. When I tried it my MFP goal was under 1400 calories and my average TDEE was close to 2600.
    3. Total loss 112.1lbs and about 3 years (just started year 4). However, my weight loss hasn't been constant.
2012 - Lost about 60lbs and gained about 20 back. I was too restrictive and ended up not being able to sustain the changes long term. So for 2012 we'll say 40lbs lost.
2013 - New approach. Started using MFP. About 50lbs lost. Became pregnant in Sept 2013. Obviously couldn't continue with weight loss. I gained about 40lbs during the pregnancy.
2014 to now - 64.1lbs since the end of May 2014.

I'm not currently losing weight for certain reasons (and not at goal weight), but when I was:

    1. 1600-1700 calories a day
    2. I ate back exercise calories if I was super hungry, but usually not.
    3. Lost 71lbs in 7 months or so - I did start around 282, so I was losing weight pretty quickly, and only just started to slow down recently when I had to switch more to maintenance.

    1. What are your daily calorie goals - 1200 for about 6 weeks, then 1600, now 1800
    2. Do you eat your exercise points - hell yes, about 350-500 per day
    3. Total weight loss and time to lose it - 52lbs in 9 months (but reached goal of 48lbs in 8 months)

    Thanks!

    2. Yes
    3. Twenty months, 90 pounds

I also had weight loss surgery in the middle. My dietitian wants me to track here. It was very handy to make sure I was eating enough right after surgery.

    2. Yes and No, the 1925 takes into account my activity level (exercise 5 days a week - 2 days with trainer, 3 on my own)
    3. 13 lbs since January, want to lose 35-40 more

If you follow TDEE you are eating your exercise calories back, you are just averaging them out for the week.

    2. Yup, I eat most, if not all exercise calories
    3. I've lost 40 pounds total, but how long gets confusing because I lost around 25 pounds then I got pregnant, had a baby and maintained till she was 2 before focusing on losing again.

    Losing versus maintaining

    1. 1800 (2400)
    2. No, I only eat back calories on double days when needed for energy
    3. 60 pounds in 6 months

After losing I upped my calories slowly to 3200 and did a bulk cycle, then dropped them to maintain and recomp.

    2. Kind of. I follow TDEE, so they are worked into my daily allowance. But no, I don't track exercise and eat those "earned" calories back.
    3. I'm recomping/maintaining at the moment, but I have lost 63 pounds total. I think it took me 9-10 months to lose it, but it's been several years since I lost the weight so I don't remember exactly.
