I'm sorry, but out of all these pictures, there are only several that actually look good for you. I myself, trying to loose weight, would like to see more heathly dishes. That's what I am looking for.0

Providing they meet the calorie goal of the person, and what their needs are, they ARE healthy.0 -

Maybe start your own thread with rules that conform to what you are looking for. Not everyone on MFP is trying to lose weight, or only eats what you consider healthy dishes.

I'm sorry, but what doesn't look good for you? All food is good for you as long as it fits into your goals. For example, this was from my wildly successful grocery trip yesterday. (All groceries not included.)
I still eat things like this. Tilapia with quinoa, onions, and peas.
But then I also enjoy yumminess like this.
Which can lead to this.

Maybe there's not enough super foods, raspberry ketones, green coffee pills, and dr oz products in our photos.-1

The thread title says it all, "What do your meals look like".
It's naive and rather self centered to ASSume everyone on MFP is here to lose weight. There are people on this thread who are bulking, who are on maintenance, just joining in, are losing weight (and losing it eating the amazing meals pictured because seriously, it's not necessary to eat bland boiled chicken breasts, celery sticks, and bagged salad to lose weight), or are just here for the food porn.
ETA: How did I NOT know about those Reese's Ice Cream Cups.... I'm so headed to the grocery store on the way home to find those.....-1 -

And they are fantastic. Although I must admit to being a total Reese's fanatic.0 -
Tried to fix quoting. Failed.0

WOAH! Sorry everyone just attacked you for this! Personally, I only post on this thread when I've eaten something really interesting or crazy delicious. I had a salad with a side of grilled salmon for lunch today; very healthy, but not very interesting to take a photo of. I think a lot of people on here eat "healthy" a majority of the time and just post the out of the ordinary awesomeness when it comes around. If you want a picture library of healthy, low calorie food, I'd suggest going to cookinglight.com or www.hungry-girl.com has some good ideas too.0 -

You're forgiven just because of the epic amount of peanut butter and other amazing things you picked up on your last shopping trip.0 -

You're my new favorite person. I wish i had seen that earlier. I got me some Cadbury eggs with my groceries. I'd go back and get those..but I have flu type a AND b, and a touch of pneumonia. Didn't even wanna go get my script filled honestly.0 -

I don't think anyone "attacked" her. I for one was just trying to point out that everything can be healthy in a well rounded diet (as in collective of what you're eating, not a particular program or designated method of losing weight).
I agree that some of these posts are the prettier meals that may be more extravagant than the regular fare of food, but it doesn't necessarily make it unhealthy.
This is what I really love about this topic - that these are all real meals, eaten by real people, while still accomplishing their goals, whatever those may be.
It gives me inspiration to enjoy my meals as much as possible, rather than my old method of basically starving myself unnecessarily, which only led to unhealthy binges. I really hope that's the message that others can take from it as well.0 -
Breakfast this morning. 2 scrambled eggs, bacon, 1/2 an English muffin with raspberry jam, tomato slices, and hazelnut coffee.

I hereby contribute both to peaceful feelings and "real people" food with this pic of pea-pesto & pear Yoda--because apparently my 4 yo niece will only eat fruit and veggies at my house, and only if they're in funny shapes, and preferably related to Star Wars or Frozen...

Here are some suggestions:
1. Post pictures of food you think is healthy in this thread.
2. Start your own thread.
3. Don't go into threads and criticize food that other people are eating (I learned this the hard way when mocking someone for cauliflower crust pizza and walden farms dressing - not my idea of good food but everyone is free to eat what they want)
4. Keep in mind that not everyone eats the way that you eat and we do not all have the same goals.
5. Learn that all food can be considered healthy in moderation, barring some medical conditions which restrict certain types of foods.0
