My Scale Might be Drunk

Thats the only excuse I can give it...for the past week (except Friday) I had been under my calorie goals, gone to the gym for at least an hour a day, cut out as much added sugar as I could, upped my protein levels....and I lost 1lb.

In the past similar approaches have led to bigger weight loss, especially if it was the first real week of working hard at it. Is this just a natural thing, like I shouldn't expect to lose more than that a week? Or could I do with getting a new scale...the one I currently have is a few years old at least. I just wonder if it isn't as accurate anymore (wishful thinking, am I right?)

It's been a week, you need to give it another 3 weeks. Water weight alone can prevent "weight loss".

May be you drank a couple of glasses of water before weighing yourself on the scale.

BTW I havent lost any weight in the last 8 days despite calorie deficit and exercise.

in the first ten days I lose 2 kgs

In the next 10 3.5 (crazy isnt it)

In the next 8 0

Going to the gym lifting weights? Maybe you're losing weight while your muscles are growning. I say keep at it for a wee bit longer. It could also help if you measure your waist, etc. Good luck!

This. I've been at about the same weight for a few weeks now despite eating at a deficit, but I've been consistently dehydrated and eating higher sodium, while also being more constipated. All result in higher scale weight. just riding it out.

Nope. Unless hej's eating at a caloric surplus.

It doesn't work like that. It's actually rather hard to gain new muscle mass in a deficit. It most likely fluid retention.
