No one knows the answer to that question.0

Why either extreme? Why not moderate amounts of all macro nutrients in a balance of nutritious foods you enjoy with an occasional treat food every now and then so that you have a sustainable way of eating?
That's a pretty winning formula for most of the successful people on this site.0 -

Why do you need to do either? I don't.
But the answer to the question is that whatever is most sustainable for you will work best for you.0 -

In comparison studies low carb tends to win if it isn't a draw. Low fat seldom wins.
Low fat is so last century.

2. Honey – Honey has long been among the top superfoods used to treat countless health conditions and boost overall health. This amazing bee-product possesses antibacterial, antifungal, antiseptic, and antioxidant properties – making it one of the most beneficial foods to consume.
Consume a diet low in salt, high in fruits and vegetables, and contain plenty of fiber and antioxidants.

Since you said "long term", I would say don't do anything you don't plan on doing for the rest of your life.

Best for long term weight loss, maintenance and overall health? I'd bet that's: a nutrient dense diet of foods you like, some treats that you can fit in your day (and that don't derail you otherwise), and some exercise: weights and cardio.
