New Motivitational Tool

I was reading about a new device created to help people motivate themselves to continue to exercise. It's called the S2H Replay. I am trying to see if there are any MFP users who know of this device, use it themselves, or even know of anyone who uses it.
It's designed like a wristwatch that you put on when you work out. If you are logging exercise, it will show a smiley face and your goal is to fill up the 4 15 minute bars that day, either all in one day or spread out over several workout sessions. When you fill the bars, you get a code. Log in and enter your code to get points to cash in for rewards, such as gift cards to various places, a wii fit, and other prizes.
I tried to go to the website, but it is temporarily down for updates. I read some reviews on Amazon and decided to order one to try it out. It was $19.95, so I guess I will see how it goes. Does anyone know anything else about it? Any insight would help. Let me know what you or friends you know who have tried it think. Thanks!

I just found it on QVC for $16.80. I haven't had a chance to read the reviews but here is the link: http://www.qvc.com/qvc.product.F09005.html?&cookie=set.0

*bump... that website didn't work, but I will look at some other places. Anyone know if you can buy it in the store or do you have to order it online? Very curious. Can't wait to get mine, so I will definitely post some new information when I get it. Curious if anyone knows what kind of gift certificates, etc you can earn. I know Amazon is one of the places, but I have read about a few others, like Best Buy. Hmmm.... wish the website was working.0

Never heard of it before. I wonder if there is a membership fee or something to log onto the website and redeem your points. Sounds interesting.0

So I have been digging deeper. Doesn't look like there is a fee to log points. The fee is only for the device itself. But I found some articles on the S2H and the company itself.
Participating companies currently include the following:
iTunes
Snapfish
Staples
Barnes & Noble
Sony
Toys R Us
****'s Sporting Goods
Amazon.com
Best Buy
Target
There are others, but these are the ones I have seen mentioned. The band comes in several colors and there are promotion codes, etc for a cheaper price than the $19.95 + sh that I paid (oh well).
It has gotten mixed reviews, which is why I am still seeking info from anyone on MFP who may have one. Some say the product doesn't last (I know it is not waterproof, so not sure how people are treating the device), and others say they haven't had problems. Of those who had a problem, the company has shipped free replacements for those who had a problem. A little bit of hastle, but that's always the case when you purchase something, especially online.
Still haven't been able to find out if you can purchase in stores yet, but it's quite the concept. I like the fact that I would be rewarded for working out. It's a great way to save some money as well, as the gift cards are redeemable at places I would use (Target, Snapfish, Amazon etc.)
Also, read reviews of some who have 2 accounts. 1 is to keep track of calories burned at work (trying to be active and get in 1 hours of light fitness in the 20 min increments while at work, or tracking for those who have a more physically demanding job and want to be rewarded!) and have a second device that they register separately for workouts in addition to their daily activities. Some housemoms on the go do the same to track their fitness while doing everyday cleaning, chores, kids, etc. They say it's a great motivator to get them moving during the ordinary lull of housework. It would definitely help me keep my house clean!
I ordered today, so it should be here this week. I hope to give an update soon, but if anyone else has any info, please let me know.0 -

Got my S2H Replay today. Did a workout using the Wii Fit Dance and it worked great. Got my first code.. it was worth 60 points. The rewards are forever changing. Only so many of each reward is offered, but they come back and cycle new rewards, so if you wanted Target gift cards, they will be back when you are ready to cash in.
I think this would be a great motivational tool. Especially when you aren't motivated when you have hit that plateau, or when you just don't feel like getting that workout in. Just think of all the cool, free stuff you could be cashing in on if you would just get off the couch for 1 hour!
They have a few new products coming out. The S2H Step is a pedometer that gives you credit if you are a walker/runner. I believe it will only give you a code if you hit x number of steps. (Maybe 10,000... so if you get 10,000 steps per day, you get a code... if it takes 2 days to hit it, you get a code every other day.) The Replay is great for runners, as long as you don't use it on a treadmill. It doesn't register, as you don't move your arms as much when you are on the treadmill, so you would have to attach it to your shoe. Looks like the S2H Step will be coming out soon.. early summer.
They are also coming out with the S2H Connect, which would work with your Nike + or other fitness tracking devices. That is coming soon.
My husband already wants me to order him a Replay. He is a runner, but he would wear it at work, etc. I think I am going to get the Step when it comes out as well. Not sure if you will be able to use more than one device per day, as you can only enter 1 code per day. But you could always open a second account with a different e-mail address and get double credit. Doesn't help if you are saving up for big rewards, but you can always cash them in on the small rewards, like $10 gift cards to target, etc.
Check out the website. www.s2h.com. Message me if you have any questions. Not sure if I can answer them yet, but I will try.0 -
I'm going to give it a try. I work out quite a bit, so hopefully it can pay for itself soon. I wish the pedometer was out, I'm always on my feet.0
