It's about 7:30 and I just finished dinner but I'm under about 500 calories. Should I eat or should I not?0

Got peanut butter?0

It depends. Sometimes I'm just not hungry, so I don't stress about it and pick up the calories the next day. If it's several days in a row of not-hungry, I'll either pick up a calorie dense treat here and there, or cut back on my cardio.0

No I don't. Not so much into peanut butter. I went over yesterday, would that matter?0

Don't eat. If you're really not hungry and if this is not a regular thing. I don't believe in force-feeding oneself.
Now if it's five days out of every seven or if by undereating your calories you're saying you're only hungry for 700 a day or something, I'd say at that point it would be time to go see the doctor.0 -
Cool thanks for the great replies. This community is legitimate!0

I'm curious about this too. I'm having a hard time making my goal also. And I'm averaging 1,000 under weekly! I'm worried about slowing down progress though I think the starvation effect on metabolism is more urban legend than fact.
I save so many calories for nighttime, because that's when I'm typically hungry. But then I'm don't eat anywhere near enough.0 -
Eating too little will not stop weight loss but will prevent you from meeting minimum nutritional needs. It can lead to greater loss of lean body mass as a percentage of total weight loss rather than maximizing fat loss.0

This has been me this week, too. But it's Easter this weekend, so I think it will all even out.0

I am under by 500+ every day. I'm not hungry yet I'm not starving myself. What do I do to boost my metabolism?0

April Fools?
I've heard a Peeps cleanse can kick-start your metabolism...which naturally reduces 11% per year beginning age 12. Good luck!

Would I be right if I bet that you set MFP to lose two pounds per week?
A quick look at your diary reveals that you are netting about 400-750 calories per day over the past few days. That is starving yourself if your logging is accurate. The only positive I see is that you don't appear to weigh any solids so there is a good chance your diary is inaccurate and you might come close to providing your body with the minimum levels of nutrients it needs.
