hi! I was just wondering if 3/4 pounds a week is normal? I have been losing that consistently for 13 weeks, I was over weight when I started, but now my bmi is normal, I am wanting to lose another 20lb. I'm eating right and exercising! Just a bit concerned incase it's to much to lose every week! X

How many calories are you eating a day? Are you exercising? If so, are you eating the calories back?

Do you mean between 3 and 4 pounds or three quarters of a pound? The first is very fast unless you're very overweight and have a lot to lose. The latter is a pretty reasonable rate if you're already a healthy weight.

I mean 3 to 4 pounds a week like I lost 3.6 pounds this week! I thought it was a lot aswell! But my trainer said everyone losing at a different pace but still slightly worried! Xx

    Roughly 1,400/1,500 a day and I'm exercising 6 days a week! X

If you're exercising 6 days a week and not eating those calories back, that could explain why you are losing more. If you want to slow down your weight loss (the more weight you lose in a week, the more muscle you lose), try focusing on your net calories and eating back some of the calories that you burn through exercise.

if you consume 1500 fewer calorie a day then you burn then losing 3 pounds in a week is normal.

trying to categorize a "normal" rate of loss across the spectrum of dieters is beyond pointless.

No, thajt's not normal. Unless you are serious obese, eat more calories. 1lb/week, especially with a 20lb goal, is normal/ideal.
