100 miles in 2 weeks challenge

Hi-
In June I'm going to challenge myself to walk 100 miles in 2 weeks. This is about 2 hours of walking a day, a little more on weekends.
I could start tomorrow but I think that'd be a mistake. Instead, today I started training by walking just an hour. I'm going to walk an hour a day until June, then start my challenge. I figure by then, 2 hours daily would be easier, with this "warm-up."
Anyone want to join?
Going to start on June 4th, the day after school's out for my daughter, so I know I'll have the time available.

And of course, I plan to get a long-term practice out of this. Probably aim for an hour a day.0

Can it be any sort of measurable exercise? Like if I wanted to bike or rollerblade and walk? I use Google Tracks and can easily figure out my mileage!
If so, I'm so in! I think hubby would be too!0 -

12 minute miles sounds closer to running than walking0 -
Yes, but...to me that's jogging! Perhaps you're taller than I am. my fastest walking speed if i absolutely push it is 4mph. Any faster and it becomes a light jog.0

I think anything other than biking should count for this challenge. However, If biking, I'd suggest people bump it to a 200 mile goal, since you can bike more miles in a day than walk, usually.0

I will compromise and say I'll shoot for 150 miles in two weeks.
1. I am still a novice rider, I do at most 10 miles on the bike
2. I do plan on walking too
What's the consensus on this?0 -
This sounds like fun. I'd love to join! It will be interesting to see how I do. In May I set a goal of walk 90 miles and so far I've walked about 50 in a little over two weeks, so I'll be doubling what I've done so far... But, I'm up for the challenge, so count me in!0

Sounds fair re 150 miles biking. Go go go!0

Wait, there's actually no way I can do this challenge, who am I kidding??0
