@runrachellerun @Jwls23 @rajnigandha21 - welcome! We are a great group and lots of fun.
@runningmischka boo I can't see the picture I'll have to check at home. Sorry you haven't been feeling well, but glad to hear all is well with Little Miss Running Girl.
@kidzfun congrats on the first marathon, awesome
@timby1 don't worry about speed, miles are miles, I'm about as fast as drying paint
@shortmrsn sounds like you had a great day
@stoshew71 super job this weekend, from the pictures I saw looks like a lot of uphills at Oak Barrel. Skip's friends finished 1 and 3 in their age group 12 - 15 girls.
Those new to this thread, beware it'll do things like get you off the treadmill and outside, it will get you running 5Ks/10Ks/HM and marathons. It will make you think "hhhmm I wonder what trail running is like and then you'll try it. Before you know it you'll be running 40 miles a week instead of 40 miles a month. You'll be buying new running shoes and posting pictures of them like they are your new grandchildren. You will come to realize this group is a family and when one of us is having a baby, we are all having a baby . Feel free to post pictures of where you run, the things you see and well anything else you want to post. I've met some of the best people on here.

@Stoshew71 nice job! Good luck on the next one, too.
@skippygirlsmom Excellent warning to newbies! I'm not sure when it happened, but at some point last month, I decided I wanted to train for a 30k trail race instead of that marathon I originally had on my fall race schedule. This group is at least partially responsible!

I need someone to come kick my butt into gear. i injured my groin muscle a week ago last saturday, so i thought i would take it easy and just walk instead of run this last week. so i got in 7 miles or so walking. groin still al ittle sore but nowhere near as bad (im not limping anymore) and then whamo PMS and aunt flo hit and I didnt do any running this weekend like planned (just 6 miles) I have a half marathon this coming up weekend and need to get back to it as i am only 10 weeks out from my full at this point. but now im a bloated hormonal mess and just want to sleep. poor me right?0
