Plain coffee has about 5 calories per cup or less.

Probably depends on what kind of coffee you are drinking. The packaging should tell you its nutritional content.

Zero, or close enough as makes no difference. The half and half has some though.

It depends on what you use as "little spoon of half and half". My 8 ounce cups of coffee, w/ 2 tbs whole milk and 3 splenda packets come to 31 calories each. I love my coffee.

Ditch the half & half, go with fat free milk

Coffee shouldn't affect your weight loss as long as you're not adding creamer or other enhancers. Caffeine has been shown to increase your metabolic rate and repress hunger when drank in large quantities, although only by a negligible amount.

Measure the half and half...thats the only way to know how many calories are in a "little spoon".

Coffee is fine to drink - as long the calories don't take you way over your goal.

Your calories are going to come from the half and half. I know a lot of people on here don't even log their coffee.

Caffeine can dehydrate you. Dehydration can turn into hunger cues. I love coffee as much as the next person, but you should always take into account the need for more fluids if you indulge.

I haven't logged coffee since I started drinking it black. I haven't enjoyed it, either, but that's beside the point. I know it's a few calories, but I'm never close enough to my goal for it to matter.

I usually don't log my coffee because most of the time I just drink it black... which barely contains any calories at all. I think in my case it aids with weight loss because it helps get me going :) Sometimes I will add a bit of cream or milk, which I do log.

Yes, I agree that coffee takes away my hunger. I get to satisfy a sweet tooth at the same time. Coffee has very little calories. I use Splenda and regular creamer/ff creamer/almond milk....It also makes me thirsty, so it's easy for me to quickly get in some water, too.

The coffee dehydration thing is a myth. Yes, caffeine is a mild dehydrator, but the water in the coffee more than makes up for it many times over.

Drink and enjoy your coffee, by all means.

You can add some creamer or half and half or soy milk if you prefer. I usually do! Just make sure you log it. I usually have quite a few calories left to play with, so I know i can put a creamer if I want and just make sure I log those 30 or 40 calories. It's all up to how you want to use your calories. I love coffee and the little energy burst it provides :)

There is water in coffee? Oh wait, yes yes I think this does make sense. The dehydration part is more of the WTF is that about?
