So I have my fitbit linked with my MFP account. My question is do I add my cardio/workouts to the MFP app in addition to having the fitbit counting my steps? Or would this count as double the exercise?

Hi. I've recently linked mine. As long as you match the times of when you did the exercise when MFP asks you. Your fitbit calories burnt in that time period will be taken off therefore not double counting the calories.

walking and running = no need to log. Fitbit's are fairly decent at tracking the calories burned for these types of activities
cycling/elliptical/ect = need to manually log anything that isn't step based (the exception to this would be the ChargeHR & Surge which use your HR for calorie burns)
For the double counting concern:

Awesome, thanks for the info!0
