Was wondering if anyone could explain how I can figure of the length of time my workouts will be with these miles and pace:
400 meters (1/4 mile) @ 6.4 MPH
400 meters (1/4 mile) @ 6.6 MPH
400 meters (1/4 mile) @ 6.8 MPH
400 meters (1/4 mile) @ 7.0 MPH
Thanks

Thanks

For the first one:
You know you can run 6.4 miles in one hour, so how long does it take you to run 0.25 mile?
0.25 / 6.4 = 0.039 hours
0.039 * 60 = 2.34 mins = 2 mins 20 seconds (roughly).
Plug in the numbers for the next three.0 -

I like using this site from Runner's World

distance = rate x time...a little algebra gives us: Time = Distance/Rate. Use that formula to get your time.0
