It is a little hard to diagnose what's going on with the information you have given; but, I will give you my general recommendations (for what they are worth) :

1). Set your calorie and macro nutrient goals using this site or some other source
2). MEASURE EVERYTHING that passes your lips and account for it.
3). Invest in a good heart rate monitor for better estimates of exercise calorie consumption or else be very conservative in eating back calories.
4). Chose nutritious foods and I personally recommend a higher protein , lower carbohydrate approach.
5). Exercise/keep active to preserve lean body mass during your calorie deficit and to improve your general health.

    It's not rocket science....

Without any info on your diet and workouts, we can't really give you any advice. If you can tell us what you typically eat, how many calories, whether or not you eat your exercise calories, whether or not you breastfeed your baby, and what you do for exercise, someone might be able to pinpoint the problem.
  • Well i eat healthy foods eg fish, red meats, veg, fruit, pasta, rice. I have stopped eating so much bread and cheese in fact i haven't eaten cheese in about 3/4 weeks, i do have the odd treat like a can of coca cola but very rare and i go to zumba once a week for a hour and i have two small children at home which i have to run around afta all day, iv been keeps under my cal intake as well so really confused about not loosing any weight, i know it not rocket science but if it was that easy why am i not loosing!

How old is you profile picture (I am going to assume it wasn’t taken in 2015 as the time stamp says)? Nothing wrong with cheese and dairy in general, however I would limit your pasta intake (and all starchy carbs for that matter) they are very calorie dense. Regardless of what MFP says, I would recommend about a 20-30% calorie deficit. If you are higher in body fat (30% or so) use approx a 30% deficit, if you have a lower body fat percentage, use closer to the 20% deficit. If you are not obese, do not expect a 2lb per week loss, but rather a ½ to 1lb per week loss. You should also exercise more than an hour a week and also include strength training not just cardio.

if you are breastfeeding that can affect your weightloss, too. Not everyone loses weight while breastfeeding- my body holds on to everything till I quit. Good luck, hope you can figure it out!

Ditto to the breastfeeding thing....the myth that you lose weight while breastfeeding is just that...a myth. some do, some don't. I did not.

My little guy is almost 9 months old and I am still trying. The fact that I just turned 40, am now on zoloft for PPD, and the mini-pill for birth control may be making it more difficult but still possible.

Really meassur and keep track of your intake, drop the soda, and drink lots of water.

I would say increase your exercise. It's recommended that you exercise 3-5 times per week. Once a week really isn't enough. Also, we have a tendency to underestimate how much we eat and overestimate how much we exercise. You probably aren't burning as much as you think just chasing kids around. I also have 2 small children. Also, what is your calorie goal set to? You should not start out at the lowest calorie goal, because you have nowhere to go from there. You should work down to that, so that you can keep your body guessing. I hope that helps!
  • My calorie intake is 1200. Thanks for your advise everyone, I do think i need to drink more water and do more exercise, i think I'm just expecting to loose it really quick, suppose its a slow process, its just really frustrating when you get on the scales and your either the same weight or put on a pound!! especially when you have a wedding coming up! thanks guys!

What does the deficit mean and how do you set it here on MFP? Thx

Consume 20-30% less calories than your maintenance calories.
