Do you take pounds off what the scale says if you know you went over on your sodium the prior day?

Not entirely sure what you mean here. If you mean actually subtract x lbs in order to record a weight, then no, because how do you know how much of it is potentially from fluid retention? If you mean when you hop on the scales, see a bit of a gain but know you had extra sodium the day before and go 'well that's just fluid', then yes sort of, though I still don't try to guess at what my weight would have been without the extra sodium.0

No, why would you do that?0

Thanks for the input guys . Just wanted to see what everybodies opinions was because I can always tell when I'm up cause my sodium was over day prior and it's really frustrating cause I know I'm busting my butt to lose but then the scale goes up a few from day prior. Makes sense though not to do it since you don't know how much really is fluid retention. Thanks again for the input.0

Nope. But I note it. I look for fluctuations. I weigh IN once a week, whether I weigh daily or not. If weigh IN is after sushi, then the weigh in number will be higher. Regardless of what I ate.0

Weigh once a week, record it, and wait to weigh again next week. Fluctuations based on salt will not matter after one month of weight-ins.0

I think i will start weighing once a week. I'm addicted to weighing daily but the fluctuations are just soo stressful. I'm also trying really hard to watch my sodium but it's hard cause its in everything.0
