Started today, too! I did it last year, lost 4 pounds and 4 inches and felt better about myself. I weigh a lot more than I did then and I'm really depressed about it. So, starting today... changing my diet and already completed day 1 of the 30DS. Let's do this!0

Hey everyone! I too did this last year and felt amazing! Strong, fit, powerful! I have since gained 15lbs and have lost a lot of that sense of fitness . I am getting on this bandwagon as well and will do the 30DS today, day 1, when I get home!

Hi I'm doing 30day shred I'm on day 11 switched to Level 2 now. I done it before and the results were great already see progress this time too. It does get boring at times and on those days I will do something else after completing the 30day. Jillian does get results if you stick with it and have a healthy diet. I lost over 40lbs just using her videos. That was last March when I started. Got married in August 2014 and gained back 20lbs since then. Guess I was enjoying the newlywed life. Decided it was time to get back on it.

Exactly like me, got fit, and almost down to my goal weight and then over the holidays just gained it all back, and then some I'm determined this time though good luck for day 1, seems to be the hardest for me

You are almost half way I did do up to day 10 last time and although I didn't lose weight I definently lost inches I do get bored with it, I just put the DVD on mute and play music, seems easier lol

I started the 30DS about two years ago, but didn't stick with it and ended up injuring my knee while running anyway. But knee is healed and yesterday I just told myself I was going to do it and aim to finish properly this time. It was tough, but I felt good afterward, though my arms are hurting today!0
-
Good on you @phnompenny we can do this well I hope I finish it this time0
-
Probably my favorite workout video0

Does anyone else have intense calf soreness when doing the shred? I've done it a couple times now and both rounds only felt sore in my calves. I stretch even after I'm done with the dvd. Any thoughts?0

Hi, I'm starting the shred today. Feel free to add me0

I wish you best of luck to all of you here . Just add me.0

I've just finished day 7 of level 1. I'm SO tired! My arms feel like ... I don't even have words. I'm starting to lose motivation but I need to make it through the last 3 days. Glad to find people doing the same thing.0
-
Heyyyyyyy! I'm on day three of the 30DS! I'm in agony at the moment in terms of my muscles but I desperately want to turn my body around so I'm trying to stick with it. Does it really work?0
-
I restarted for the second time and have just done day 9 of level one, for the first time I managed to do the bicycle crunches at the end for the whole minute. Even though the work out is tough and some days I feel like jillian is trying to kill me, I'm sticking at it this time and determined to complete the whole 30days.
I'm curious, how heavy are the weights everyone else is using, I'm currently using 2.3 kg (5lbs) for must of the workout, but have to switch to lighter 1.1kg (2.4lbs) for the side lunges.
@t4nn1e So far it's working for me, my stomach which has always been my problem area, doesn't look as bloated as it used to and my arms feel stronger (but that could be because I also do other weight exercises)
Fellow shredders feel free to add me, I could always do with more support friends0 -
I'm jus going to keeeeep trying too! It's difficult isn't it, but hopefully the results will be worth it!0
-
I'm loving these comments! I'm doing it too. I am using 5lb weights but have to go lighter for the side lunges too. I started about a month ago but I haven't worked out every day so I just started level two. Question? Do you move to the next level at ten days or do you move on when you can do the entire worked doing the harder version (Natalie's moves)? Please add me too0
-
@louisemccrea I'm going to switch to the next level after 10 days, because I would probably get bored and quit if I had to keep doing level 1 until I could easily do the harder version. Right now I can follow natalie with a lot of the moves, except pushups, butt kicks and sometimes with the squats and both front/side lunges (my knees aren't so great)
Maybe once I've completed the whole thing I'll go back redo it, and push myself to keep up with Natalie, right now though, I'm just focused on completing it, even following the modified work out, you still break a sweat!
Also I've added you0 -
Don't forget to give yourself rest days. I know it's a "30 day shred" but even Jillian herself said in one of her podcasts that doing all 30 days without rest days was a bad idea if you aren't already exercising every day.
If you are tired/sore, take a day off then you can give it 110% the following day instead of dragging yourself through it at 75%0 -
I did level two this morning. I did it without weights because I got a sliver in the palm of my hand yesterday while doing yard work. My arms aren't feeling their usual workout but my legs are feeling like jello. I guess I was focusing a lot on my legs because I didn't have to think about my arms this time.
A friend of mine told me to try Jillian's butt and thigh workout on level two because you don't really need weights and you still get a good upper body workout until my hand heals. Anyone else doing other workouts/videos whole doing shred?0 -
woohooo it took 17days, but I've finally finished level 1

I started the 30 day shred yesterday. I thought Jillian was trying to kill me! lol I've got my hubby doing it with me starting today. I read something about rest days. How often are we supposed to do a rest day? The hubs was thinking about doing mon-fri and resting sat-sun. Is that too much rest time?0
-
I need to get back into doing it! The longest I go is 6 days, then I stop.0
-
Hey how's everyone getting on with the shred? I've started level 2 now, and I'm finding it much harder than the first level, I'm having to follow anita and do the modified exercises.0
-
Hello! I just finished day 5 of level 1! Feel free to add me :-) I also had horrible calf pain and had to take a day off yesterday, but I'm feeling great today. Good luck, everyone!!0
-
I am on day 5 of level 1. On day 3 I thought I was gonna die afterwards, my right thigh hurt so much all day that it was hard to walk. I was thinking I pulled something but it felt much better on day 4. Maybe I just didn't stretch enough, who knows. I will say I think my endurance is getting better but the cardio part is still kicking my butt. Literally, with the butt kickers! lol
I am feeling stronger and am finding that working out gives me more mental strength to stick to my calorie goals. When I felt an urge to eat something bad yesterday I tried a couple of things, waited for the urge to pass, drank some water, and reminded myself how hard I had to work for my calorie burn.
My short-term goal right now is to get into the pants hanging in my closet. I can get them on, but they are a little snug for professional wear. Come on 30 day shred!!!0
