    Have you taken the ingredients (eggs, etc..) and put them in the recipe builder using what you would buy to make this?

    Just for kicks I say about 1000 to 1200 calories.. but I could make it much less than that and control the portion size.

    Seriously? Put it in your diary and you'll see (more or less) how many calories are in that meal.

    I don't think it's even over 1000, but it's probably close.

    2 eggs = 200 calories
    5oz White Potatoes = 75 calories
    1 slice of white toast = 100 calories
    1 buttermilk biscuit = 250 calories
    Jelly Doughnut = 300 calories

    I've overestimated on the items to account for any butter/syrup/oil used, so I'm thinking it's more around 925. I doubt it is anywhere near 1200 though.

    But looks like there is butter and some sort of syrup on it

    I thought it was French toast with syrup, which would increase the calories.

    OP, if you're trying to save calories, go easy on the bread products next time.

    Well let's see...

    2 slices of French toast with syrup = 400 calories
    Danish = 300 calories
    Biscuit = 200 calories
    2 eggs = 200 calories (assuming cooked in butter)
    roasted potatoes = maybe 100 calories? doesn't seem to be much.

    So yeah I'd log it at 1200 to be on the safe side, although it might be less.

    When I stay at hotels I try to go for eggs and meat, and maybe one piece of toast, or roasted potatoes... that's typically still around 500 calories. Unfortunately it adds up very fast, but it looks delicious, lol.

    This is how I would estimate how they cooked it:

    1 Piece of bread = 120 cals
    Addition of egg/maybe milk/sugar for French toast = 40 cals
    Syrup = 100 cals
    Scrambled egg (looks like minimum of 3)= 240 cals
    Milk or sourcream or oil in scrambled eggs = 50 cals
    Buttermilk Biscuit = 350 cals - Did you put jam or butter on that too?
    Danish = 300 cals
    Roasted potatoes with oil = 120 cals

    1320 cals total.

    Advice for another hotel stay, choose only 1 bread product as those are usually the ones that add up fast and don't make you feel full.

    You can't win unless you made a guess ;)
