It's okay to skip it if you want. It's okay to eat it if you want. Breakfast is one of those things that's personal preference.0

You do what you like. Meal timing is irrelevant for weight loss.0
-
What time you break your fast dosnt matter, all that matters is that you do eventually break your fast.0

I agree with everyone ... I like breakfast on the weekends because I can sit down and enjoy it with my family but on weekdays I just pack a few snacks the night before and if I feel like eating or I get hungry then I have a few things available but I never have a proper (or even a slightly proper) breakfast.0
-
I skip it! I can't stand to eat in the morning, so it's just calories that I didn't want in the first place!0

Exactly. Consider your calories/macros etc for the whole day and budget them for however/whenever you want (for weight loss). If skipping breakfast saves you 200 cals for when your head touches the pillow that night, you will be on track to loosing weight.0 -
I am a breakfast person only because I am hungry in the mornings because I eat dinner early in the evening. Like everyone else said eat when you get hungry!0
-
How late do you eat at night? Are you a night owl? Do you get most of your calories in the evening/night?0
-
Like everyone else said, meal timing is a preference thing and nothing more. I regularly break my daily fast at 11am with my biggest meal of the day.0

To me breakfast is always desirable...... morning, noon or night!! Love me some eggs Benedict!!0

I can take it or leave it however, I do get that funny blood sugar drop feeling if I go too long without something. I find that routine is best for me. I have 2 slices of high fiber toast with butter and a cup of coffee at my desk during the week most mornings:) Eggs with toast and coffee on the weekends.0

Yep, like everyone said, it's personal preference and how it affects you. Maybe experiment for a week with it and a week without it and see which is easier or if you are hungrier either way.
I eat it because I enjoy it and usually feel like eating in the morning.0 -
I like eating breakfast of an evening. I'm never hungry of a morning and usually in a rush. I can easily stay fasted for six hours or so after I've woken up. But I love Breakfast food such as cereal and Full English Breakfasts (toast, bacon, sausage, eggs, beans, mushrooms, ketchup etc), I just eat them in the evening when I have time to relax and enjoy them.0

I feel better and have more energy when I've eaten in the morning. Also, when I allow myself to get starving hungry, I tend to make poorer choices about how much and what kind of food to eat, so skipping meals tends to backfire for me and can trigger a binge. So I eat breakfast. If you don't have those problems, then it won't hurt to save your calories for later in the day.0

On weekdays, I have breakfast by 7:30, but on weekends, my husband and I usually have brunch instead of 2 separate meals. Find what works for you - you might find after logging for a while that you see more positive results from one over the other.0

For me, if I don't have something to eat in the morning, I end up crashing before lunch. Usually just a Fiber One brownie is enough, unless I'm going to be exercising first thing.
Some people can't go without breakfast, some people just can't bring themselves to eat first thing in the morning. How you divide you daily calories is up to you, do whatever it is that works best for you.0 -
My previous trainer touted the old maxim, “Eat Breakfast Like a King, Lunch Like a Prince, and Dinner Like a Pauper”. It got me started eating breakfast, although it's still not my biggest meal of the day. My natural inclination is to eat more at the evening meal, although this concerns me because it's closest to bed time/inactivity.0

If you like eating in the a.m. then do that. If someone forced me to eat in the morning, I might have to kill them because I do not like eating until much later in the day.0

It's kind of worth yelling about, because everywhere you go, "conventional wisdom" regarding breakfast is being pushed down your throat, telling you that if you don't eat breakfast, you'll get fat, or won't lose weight. You'll either stockpile the rest of the day's intake as fat because of your poor metabolism, or you'll have a freak-out at lunchtime and eat 10,000 calories. Most doctors and at least half of the world's gym staff will push this idea on you.
Non-breakfast people who are succeeding at losing weight know better. It's all bullcrap. Eat whenever you want, as long as you can stay within your day's calorie limit.

I only eat breakfast at 5:30 am because my work requires a lot of energy and if I don't eat life is not gonna be happy around 10 am. On my days off I tend to prefer eat around 11:00 or later, unless I have to be up and out of the house earlier.0

I'm a fan of breakfast.

If you have never been in the habit of eating breakfast and you aren't fainting halfway through your morning, you're fine.0 -

I have to eat breakfast within a couple of hours of waking though as I will not make it the rest of the day if I dont .

It may sound weird, but I eat breakfast every day but Sunday. I'm just never hungry on Sundays usually until about 1pm or 2pm.
Every other day I have to eat or I'm gnawing my arm off by 10am.0 -
As a child we rarely had enough food in the house therefore I would go without breakfast more times than not. Most days I wouldn't eat my first meal until after 3pm. My body got into this habit so now that I am an adult and can afford to buy my own food, I typically don't get hungry until early/ late afternoon.
A few years ago I gave in to "peer pressure" and started forcing myself to eat breakfast because everyone said "It's the most important meal of the day." "It kick starts your metabolism." For me, it was a bunch of crock! I forced myself to eat something bright and early before I went to work and all it did was make me nauseous for most of the day. Then when the nauseous feeling went away mid to late afternoon, I binged all night long. I gained 50 lbs. this way.
One day I woke up and realized that what everyone was telling me about breakfast being necessary wasn't the case fore me. I went back to skipping the morning meal and eating my first meal of the day, a light one, early/ mid afternoon and the having a good 800- 1000 calorie dinner. Since then I have dropped 40 lbs.
Do I eat in the morning if I am hungry, OH YES! As a matter of fact this morning I ate breakfast, not because I was told to, but because I was hungry. I let my body tell me when I need to eat rather than other people. As you can see this works for me, but not for everyone.0 -
As a diabetic breakfast is an important part of maintaining fairly level blood glucose levels. Just because it's breakfast doesn't mean you have to eat traditional breakfast food. I remember having hot dogs for breakfast when I was in high school.0
-
I eat breakfast because I am hungry in the morning and because I have to time it due to my medicine. Sometimes it is a bar on the go though. Sometimes an egg. I never have time but I now I have to make sure it happens.0

In the mornings im usually pressed for time and too tired to think, so my breakfast is usually junky food (i have eaten a lot of oatmeal cream pies, man). Not the best or healthiest. If you do eat breakfast dont be like me, make it something worth eating!0
