Failure to plan....

means you plan to fail!!!! Just finish my lunches and dinner for the week. All cooked meals are 300 calories or less. Snacks are 140 calories or less. I keep them just in case I get hungry in my car. NO fast foods for me! For breakfast I usually have cereal, oatmeal, or a protein shake. All quick five minute fixes.

Do you meal prep for the entire week? If I cook some chicken or beef on Sunday will it still be okay to eat on Friday? :)

Wow! Great job! I plan all my meals for the week, but I don't cook them all out ahead of time. I have two toddlers, and I'm not sure if this would be easier or not. Dinner time is so hard because they want to play and have my attention but I am busy cooking... however, this may take too much of one day. How long did it take you to prepare it all?

And you didn't pay $99 for colored tupperware either. Kudos.

Are you talking about that 21-day plan people keep buying? I still don't understand that. Seems like people are paying a ton of money for Tupperware. LOL

    Of course it is.

I think the point is that if you buy it in the normal way (not the 21 day fix thing) it's not $99.

Yea so far everything I cook has lasted in the refrigerator.i have not had anything to spoil on me.

I paid $1.99 for 5 set of plastic containers I have enough for m-Sunday for lunch and dinner and 14 for other snacks. I paid maybe 20 bucks for all my plastic containers.

I cook everything every Sunday except breakfast but that easy to do!

    Thanks everyone!

That sounds about right for a few days prep in comparison to what I have seen videos on. The longest one I can remember seeing was about 8 hours and was for a full week.

It will not spoil. I have 4oz steak for two days this week with some parmesan green beans. My ground turkey and steak and chicken usually last.

I did prep for Monday-Saturday and I will do it all again on Sunday after church.

All my meats are 4oz and I give myself the serving size for all vegetable and recipes. Oh the Southwestern casserole is actually the chicken enchilada casserole. Here is the recipe... Try it out-

    All of 250 calories!!!!

I did this for a whole month and I still haven't figured it out - the food just doesn't "keep". Especially the veggies. Every week i tried a new way of doing it. What I figured out was I need to keep the veggies (sauteed spinach, kale, etc) in an entirely different bowl and add it in that morning. I see that's not the case for you.

DO you put anything in the freezer?

I guess I'm screwed then. I don't even know what I'm having for dinner and it's almost 5:00 p.m. Oddly enough, I've been losing steadily.

Yeah, I'm a bit like that too. I do make salads in a jar, but apart from that I just stand at the fridge and figure out what we'll have for dinner on the fly. I'm always impressed by people who have their entire month's menu printed out and actually stick to it.

I'm 47 and genuinely would have expected myself to have figured this out by now.

I'm 54 and still haven't figured it out. Then again, I have a dorm-sized refrigerator and simply can't plan that far in advance. :(

Great idea, though, OP! And I love some of what you pack for the week. I might have to try that recipe you linked to.
