Hey guys! I dont drink alot but when I do its just a few glasses of wine once or twice a month or a few budlights! I havent drank since I start MFP a month ago, so Im looking for some good, but low cal beers for an event Saturday! It'll be drinking all day long pretty much, but I normally put myself at a 5 drink limit! Do you think Budlight is as light as it gets with good taste?

I really like bud select 55. (55 calories compared to bud light that has about 100) A lot of people say it tastes watered down, but I love it. Especially if you put a slice of lemon in it. Yummy!

I am a huge fan of the bud select 55 bottles, lemon or lime in it is not bad! Also, I only will buy a 6-pack when I go to all day parties becuase when I am out I am out! And I am not a huge fan of beer so I don't get into others. Make sure to enjoy yourself too tho!

I'm a Miller guy so I'd say try MGD 64, but honestly they're all a bit watery so I'd say probably select 55 if you're a Bud girl.

I will preface this reply with I am a super beer snob.

Is there such a thing as any light beer with any taste? Let alone good (granted good is far to relative of a term). I think if you aren't a big drinker, have 2 good beers at the cost of your 5 low cal beers. My two cents. Feel free to leave in the "Take a penny leave a penny jar".

Hahaha, you sound like my soon to be bro-in-law! He says theres no TASTE in a light beer and He doesnt drink anything "generic" as he calls it! Thanks for the advice! Does Corona count as a "good" beer? I like those!

Personally, I don't like it.. I'd rather a Negar if we are talking Mexican beer, but, hey! I am not the one drinking it. It's all what you enjoy... Though I am a beer snob, I try not to be a jerk.

You know how much I love beer, I have been doing a lot of investigating into the low calorie beers. I would say out of all the low cal beers I've tried lately, Becks light is only 64 calories while maintaining the best flavor. I also drink michelob ultra but bud select 55 tastes like water to me.

I love beer (and cider - the English version WITH alcohol in!), but have been completely avoiding anything like that since starting MFP - I've been sticking to spirits and diet mixers and the occaisional glass of wine. Never thought about drinking a 'light' beer - I don't think it's such a big thing in the UK, we definitely have a lot less choice. Just wondered... does the alcohol percentage go down with the lower calorie beers, I once bought a Weight Watcher bottle of wine to find that it was so low in alcohol that it wasn't really worth it! I'd rather have just drunk water and avaoided the chemicals (especially as it wasn't exactly delicious either!)

I long to sit in a beer garden with a cold pint once again... especially if it's only gonna be 64 calories a bottle and still get me drunk :D

    Thanks xxx

I will vote for Mich Ultra! My sis and I call them our 'girly beers', lol. I am not much of a beer drinker, but do love an ice cold one on a hot day!

I justify drinking Michelob Ultra because Lance Armstrong endorses it and that gives me some sort of satisfaction LOL. It has 95 cals. Bud Select is okkk... watery but better with lemon.
I think you would be good finding some local bottled beer! You'd be amazed at how rich a light beer can be that isn't mass produced!
