    im going to be annoying and say calorie deficit. atleast for flatter stomach. to tone u should consider lifting weights or bodyweight exercises.

    haha yes agreed.
    Any exercise that you enjoy and will dedicate the time to do is good exercise :) Don't pick running if you hate running. Choose something you like that is practical for you to do weekly. And eat within your calorie means!
    Squats, lunges, pushups, pullups, deadlifts....those are all good for targeting major muscle groups and getting an all over workout. (Endless situps for example are far less effective.)

    Lift heavy. HIITs. Caloric deficit. Cardio. There is no secret diet or exercise.

    Probably starting last summer would work better and since she will need a time machine anyway...
