hey guys,
New to this. Lost 4 lbs in the first month and now I've only lost 1...could this be attributed to possible inconsistencies in calorie counts, or is this something that is normal?
I workout 4-5xweekly, eating 1470 cals/day. I do eat back what I've burned and im far less rigid on weekends with what I eat. In one month say a person goes over in calories each weekend, can someone with super great math skills explain the detriment in terms of how this impacts loss and the deficit.
I mean if my deficit is at about 500, but every weekend I'm eating whatever I want...going over by about 500 over the course of the weekend type thing....how much does this slow me down?
Excuse my lack if knowledge in all of this please!
I just want to reach my goal :0

If you're at a 500 calorie deficit per day, but eating 500 more on one day, you're only having a 500 calorie deficit on 6 days, which is 3000 calories which is 6/7 of a pound loss per week (about that much at least).
Now for the not-maths stuff.
The exercise burn you get from mfp is notoriously overestimated, you should eat back a bit less, so that's probably an impact on your weight loss.
And if you're not logging at all on weekends you're probably over your goal by more than just 500 so there's that too.0 -
