tomorrow isy birthday and I'm wondering how I go the whole day without eating treats-like birthday cake. My family wants to order pizza for me and then cake to celebrate. Help how do I say no without hurting their feelings.

Happy Birthday!
If you want it, have it. It's your birthday.
If you really don't want it, be honest, tell them how good you're feeling and that you really DON'T want to indulge even though it's your birthday.
Enjoy your day!

If you want pizza and cake, have pizza and cake! If you don't want pizza and cake, tell your family it's your darn birthday and you get to pick what you have, then pick what you'd like. You saying what you would like for your birthday oughtn't hurt any feelings, and if they get upset it's because THEY want pizza and cake, and that's a wee bit selfish.0

Yesterday was my birthday. Normally I love running and am particularly keen when I know I need a good appetite for celebrating! Unfortunately, me knee is injured so I wasn't able to. Nevertheless, I still had everything I wanted... seafood linguine then a scoop of ice cream for pudding, half a bottle of wine and three cocktails! I had an amazing evening and because I wasn't worrying about the food I was focusing on the company, making it a night to remember! Now today I feel satisfied, not restricted. My body doesn't crave any bad food because it got all it wanted last night and so it's easy to get back into my routine. (Porridge for breakfast, protein shake and salad for lunch, sweet potato and veggies for dinner, options hot chocolate)
Please have a nice slice of cake on me and eat everything you want. If it feels like it's turning into a binge, whereby you feel out of control and you're not actually enjoying the food, then stop. If not, take pleasure in being with your family and sharing the special moment with them. Days like these are the ones that help you to see 'diet' as a health choice. Healthy relationships and a healthy mind are just as important and they fuel your determination. If indulging once in a while is part of that then it makes the days when you feel you should say 'no' a lot easier. It makes it feel like you're saving the indulgent food for a special day and I hope tomorrow fits into that category for you!0 -
