Is it true that you burn 50 percent or more calories walking or running at 15 percent incline or higher?

I don't know about 50%, and would be leery of that figure... but sure running up a hill is harder than running on flat terrain, so naturally it will take more energy assuming you are running at the same pace (which is a big assumption)0

Yes, the steeper incline will burn more calories, exactly how many is anyone’s guess (calorie burn is an estimate). I would say if you’re doing it on a treadmill, and you’re grasping the rails, you’re not getting the benefit of the extra incline.0

What if you are lifting 5 lb weights while walking up a steep incline?0

Lifting separately is boring. Is there less risk of injury on a stationary bike while lifting?0

My sole treadmill calculates over 50 percent more calories burned on the highest incline.0 -
Lifting five pounds a million times is not effective. Lift separately. It's only boring if you do light weight and high reps.0

As for incline, take it slow to start or you're asking for a foot injury.0

Then God has spoken. Because those machines have to be 100% accurate, right?
