Looking for an effective yet inexpensive spin bike for the home. Been doing some research on the one linked below and curios if someone has any insight.

If you read the reviews its a bit of a mixed bag. It sounds like it is poorly made with parts failing immediately on construction. Also handle bars do not adjust which may be a problem. It also says the seat height does not have much adjustment so depending how tall you are it may not fit properly. The saddle is also mentioned as being very uncomfortable.

Personally i would avoid this bike and save for or get credit for a better one.

I go to a spin class that uses this. They're great but not inexpensive.

I went through this last year and bought a under $200 bike and it was unstable, It felt dangerous to use and was broke in a month. I went out to test ride bikes and found even the ones with the best reviews weren't my cup of tea. I settled on a sprit XBU55 MSRp $1299 I do about 400 miles a month with no issues in a year. It was out of my budget but the salesman in me bought the floor model for $800 cash.. You can negotiate there is big markup in fitness equipment and cash is king. You can finance at some places too but watch out for the interest rates.. This bike I use once a week and its awesome..
