fastest way to lose baby weight?

I'm a new mom of a 2 month old and I want to be summer ready I need to lose like 35 pounds. Help?

Summer is about 10/11 weeks away...depending on your current weight you could potentially lose around 20lbs...and thats only if you have a lot to lose!0

I'd say there is no 'fastest' way to lose baby weight. There's a whole gamut of factors you have to consider. First, if you are nursing, you need to make sure your milk supply doesn't drop. And because of this, you can only have a small deficit. LLL recommends a minimum of 1800 calories, but that's also without factoring in your height, weight and activity level. And you probably shouldn't aim for more than 1 lb a week. You also need to make sure you're giving your body plenty of rest. It just went through some major stuff, and you don't want to go abusing it with hours in the gym and little sleep.
My baby is 14 weeks old so I get it. I'm 2.2 lbs away now from my pre-pregnancy weight. I have a small deficit because I'm breastfeeding, and really, I don't work out more than 3x a week. I'm short and logging about 2000 calories (or more) everyday. But there's no 'fast' about it. It's just what it is, is what it is.0 -
Unless you're in Australia, where it's mid-autumn almost winter and summer is still seven months away, it's not going to happen.

Breastfeeding and slight calorie defecit has worked for me. Drink lots of water. I've managed to lose 35 lbs that way!0

Doesn't work across the board. For some women, nursing makes them feel famished and makes it harder to lose weight. There are a number of threads about women having trouble losing while breastfeeding.
Also, fastest way to get bikini-ready is put on a freaking bikini. You're never the thinnest person at the beach, nor the fastest, and no one really cares what anyone else looks like. Not worth stressing about.0 -
There's a saying > 9 months to gain, 9 months to lose. But seriously for most women it takes time to lose the baby weight especially if you are breastfeeding. I have a 6 month old, only gained 25 lbs, but am still 5 lbs away from my prepregnancy weight (not necessarily a bad thing for me). I am working out regularly, but the lbs aren't moving and probably won't until I'm done nursing him. A quick diet to fit in a bikini for the summer most likely won't work for the long term.0

I was one who held onto excess baby weight until I was done breastfeeding. I kept waiting for that magical moment the weight would just fall off like some women told me. I BF for almost a year and at that point I lost weight pretty fast.0

I've lost 28 pounds in 3 months (I have a 4 month old). 7 pounds left until I reach pre-pregnancy weight, and hoping to be there by the end of May. So 35 pounds of baby weight should take me about 4 months to lose. I'm breastfeeding so I eat 300-500 calories a day extra for that. I exercise every day and eat back half of my estimated exercise calories. It's been hard work but I feel good about what I've accomplished at this point. I eat about 2000 calories a day so definitely not starving myself, but I do weigh and measure all my food so I know exactly how much I'm eating.

1 lb away from pre baby weight at 6 months pp. I've been logging for about 2 months. For the first few months I didn't concern myself with anything but my baby. I'm exclusively breastfeeding and eat 1600 cals a day. I'm also only 4'11 though. Don't push yourself too hard... especially if nursing. Your baby is more important than your bikini... but I totally understand wanting to feel sexy this summer. Just don't ride yourself too hard0

I was one who held onto excess baby weight until I was done breastfeeding. I kept waiting for that magical moment the weight would just fall off like some women told me. I BF for almost a year and at that point I lost weight pretty fast.
This is me too. I nursed my son for 15 months and never lost and ounce even with counting calories religiously. Ince I was done the weight started coming off without changing a thing. Happened with both my kids.

Turn back time and have the baby in autumn? Just joking, been there, felt as you do, and it is just not happening. You can try to lose super fast, although nothing close to what you are hoping for. You will end up seriously ill, and unable to care for your baby too. You need to remember the important things: you just had a baby. You did not just get fat out of nowhere, you are recovering from pregnancy and childbirth. Do not be harsh on yourself.
Give yourself time. Aim for a reasonable deficit. If you are not nursing, this means you can use MFP as it is planned, for a weight loss of 0.5 to 1 lb per week. If you are nursing, the simplest is to eat at maintenance, and not eat the nursing calories back, which will pretty much set you to the same weight loss rate.
It took 9 months to put on the weight, it will take about the same time to get back to your prepregnancy body. Anything else, just is not happening.0 -

Diet and exercise and stick with it! I am a new mom too, dd is 4 months old and its very hard to find time to workout. Just try your best to stick to a regiment and you can lose it

Will do thank you I sure need it. I know I'm not going to lose it all by summer lol just want to get a good start. I am breastfeeding so I feel that's helping we do walk everyday and 3 mile walk once a week (wish I had more time to do that walk everyday)0 -

Same here. I BF for a year, and once I stopped and put the effort into logging again, staying within my calorie goal, and working out regularly, it started coming off at a decent pace. I tried to lose weight while BFing, but any time I cut my calories too low, my supply suffered. It took me a while, but I figured out where I could at least maintain. Hopefully you're one of the lucky ones for whom BFing helps the weight come off!
ETA that I don't mean to say that I didn't log while I was BFing - I did, and I found that I was unable to lose. Like I said, it helped me figure out my maintenance. To save my sanity, I took a break from logging and tried not to overeat, at which I succeeded. Then after weaning, I lowered my calorie goal and started logging again, at which point the weight started coming off. It took a couple of weeks for my body to get the picture, but after that it was fine.
