There is no real, singular way to go about this. Generally speaking when you are cutting you want to have around 35-40% Protein, 35% Fat and 30% carbs. Play around with it +/- 5% either way.

Whatever suits you and you can stick to

good guideline in grammes as minimums is

protein at 0.8g to 1g protein per lb of LBM
fats at 0.35g fat per lb of bodyweight

Personally my diet is more than 50% carbs cos that's how I like to eat, with an eye to achieving 100g minimum protein

If you're sticking to it, then sure it's right.

Macros are all about what you're comfortable eating. For me personally, I do 35 protein, 35 fat, and 30 carbs. It works for me. I also find that I feel more full on that breakdown than if I eat more carbs. Again, whatever keeps you sticking to your deficit is what'll work for you.

As long as you don't expect a five ounce bird to carry a one pound coconut, just about any ratio that's working for you is probably fine.

I'm doing 1g of protein per pound of body weight, 25% fat, the rest carbs.
