Getting two crowns on Wednesday. That means I need 3,000 calories of stuff I can't chew tomorrow.
Milkshakes? Of course. And then nagging hunger in the five hour windows between milkshakes.
And *kitten* up macros.
And then of course, *kitten* dental work.

Well, I can't say anything to your thread but good luck with all of that...
Yogurt, ice cream, jello, mashed potatoes, soup, noodles/pasta and anything pureed.
Oh I forgot pudding and custard (if you do egg custards)..0 -

Mashed vegies(with butter) , Slow cooked meats/ground beef sauces, soup, smoothies/milkshakes, porridge, eggs...0

Yeah - like others have said - mashed potatoes, creamed veggies with lots of butter, and be sure to add ice cream and a lot of protein powder to your milkshakes; boiled eggs (hard or soft); maybe you could do like pulled pork for protein as well.0

Eggs! How could I forget!? Eggs have yet to steer me wrong. Soft scrambled I bet.0

Good ideas folks. Many thanks.0

Raw in a glass for you! naw.. just kidding..
You could add a bit of milk to make them fluffier and a bit moist for easy swallowing and no chewing! Best of luck on this.. sounds like it is going to suck...0 -
Almost any food can be put in the blender. You can eat all the stuff you normally would. Pizza shake. Hamburger smoothie.
Or maybe have some soup? Mix in some heavy cream for more calories.0 -

Agreed.
All good advice. I had my tonsils removed, so I was stuck with soft foods for a week. Also, I've had several crowns, and while I was not able to chew for a few hours, I actually didn't have too many problems chewing several hours later (although I'd avoid anything too crunchy). I mostly just chewed on the other side (hopefully your two crowns aren't on opposite sides; if they are, I'd consider that your dentist may hate you which is why he/she suggested doing them both at the same time).0 -
Baked Butternut Squash with Olive Oil and Cinnamon. Mash and go.0

Protein smoothie--1 cup low fat Greek yogurt, 1/2 cup almond milk, 1 cup spinach, 1 large banana, 1 scoop Muscle milk protein powder. 452 calories. It's filling--will hold me until lunch.
The spinach makes it look like puke, but it's sweet, with banana providing the primary flavor.0 -
One more thought. On a 3,000 calorie diet, you could drink 6.5 of these Protein Smoothies in one day. I can't imagine being able to consume that many of them--too filling--but having one every 2-3 hours will keep you from going hungry.0

My dentist may hate me. They drilled out my fillings and said "Oh oops, there's not enough left here to fill. You needs crown$."
Happily they're both on the same side. It's really just today with the super-temporary filling that I can't really chew. Tomorrow, hopefully, I'll be able to eat real food a few hours after the appointment.

I don't know about the pizza, but a hamburger smoothie? Sure, I guess. I wouldn't actually put the meat into my blender, but I've been known to crumble up hamburger, throw some sauce on it and eat it over rice.0
