I'm so happy this thread is getting some responses!! A little more about me, I'm 5'4 at about 137 pounds. 99% of my body fat lies on my tummy/lower back area. Like a nice inner tube :P Going to the beach in mid-June, and I had a reality check about neglecting healthy eating or working out. Lately I had been drinking wine or beer every night, snacking on junk food while working, and guzzling down coffee like my life depended on it. It's time to put an end to all this.
My goal is to lose 0.5 lbs per week, nothing too crazy.

Anyone have real success at 1,200?
MFP told me to eat 1,200 since I'm lightly active but I'm sticking to 1,500-1,600 and will experiment from there. 146 lbs, 5'3 ...goal 135 for now.0 -

Feel free to add me! I eat lots of pizza and craft beer, green smoothies and highly nutritous meals too! Usually in the 1200-1400 range, 103 day streak but cutting calories for only 4 weeks and down 1.5 per week! I'm "naughty" often, I really don't sweat it if I eat a bunch, because even on my "worst" day's I manage to be at or under maintainence 99% of the time.

I was at 1500 calories but dropped it to 1200.I'm losing about 2 pounds a week. Just started eating 1200 calories last week.my weekend was very bad.I also work out 30 minutes a day for now.I don't want to push myself too hard.I'm 5 foot an weigh 183.4.....I'm 27 years old0

I eat between 1350-1500 or so depending on whether I do cardio (lol), but as long I stay under 1800 which is a rough guess of my TDEE given how sedentary I am outside of weight lifting, I don't stress about it too much But feel free to add. I do a lot of custom recipes since I cook so much so if something ever looks good just let me know and I can send you the recipe0

I'm set at 1500 + exercise calories, but I tend to eat 1200-1400 most days because I save calories for weekend splurging. Feel free to add, I love MFP pals!0
