Hi! My name is Nicole and I have lost about ten pounds so far, and I want to lose about 15-20 pounds more. I am 20 years old 5'8" and about 155.

I fell out of my weight loss this year at school and really want to get back into it this summer. Do you have any motivation tips?

I also have trouble controlling cravings. I find that especially at night they are worse. When I eat less during the day and at dinner, I start to crave snacks after the fact. I also eat dinner early which may be part of the problem. Also, I babysit a lot. This may sound weird, but I crave a lot of what the kids eat. Being around high fat, high calorie snacks and food is difficult.

Lastly, I have been taking Hydroxycut. I think it really helps me to control hunger, and I feel energized, but not weird or shaky. Do you have any thoughts?

Thank you for reading and have a great day!
Nicole

Why such a low weight? just curious...puts you nearly under weight...

What are your calories set at? Have you eliminated certain foods from your intake? is that what you are craving? IF so why not eat them in moderation?

Stay away from gimmicks they are not needed. ie hydroxycut. All they do is lighten your wallet.

i decided to try hydroxycut and at first it didn't really do much except control my hunger. after a few days, i felt like i wanted to chew-off my arm i was so nervous. and there is no way to get down from that "high" except time. i would just caution you on that.

when your "kids" eat, try snacking on carrot sticks or celery. (better yet, feed that to the kids, too!) try eating popcorn or pickles, those are salty and can satisfy crunchy salty cravings. add in a few m&m's for some sweetness.

for me the key is to brush my teeth after dinner. then i don't eat anything after my calories are gone for the day.
  • I have always been curious/scared of Hydroxycut. Isn't that the thing that what Anna Nicole was using right before she passed (along with other things). I've always been tempted to buy it but weary at the same time. How long have you been using it and which product do you use?

Yes. Quit the Hydroxycut. If you can't learn how to control yourself without it, you'll NEED it the REST OF YOUR LIFE to continue.
You can have what you crave, but you still have to count their calories. Believe it or not, you'll subconsciously start to realize out of counting calories that you'll want to apply those calories to foods that allow you more volume based on calorie value. So where you can have one spoonful of Mac and Cheese, you now can have a full bowl of salad with some good oils in it.

I believe there were issues with Hydroxycut before on the market, some sort of severe side affects. But they have taken out the possible dangerous ingredients now.

I use the Pro Clinical Hydroxycut. Not any special kind! I have used it for a couple weeks now. I like it, but I would never use it as much as the bottle recommends. They say that it should be used 3 times daily with two pills. If I did that I think that I may start to feel strange.

If you do use it I would just recommend to do what your body tells you. If you feel weird, take less. If you don't feel a strong side affect or jittery then take two next time.

I agree, I've used the proclinical and it gave me more energy and i lost weight quickly. However, adjust the amount you take to your body's needs. I found that i couldn't sleep after a few weeks and so i started only taking 1 pill before dinner. Make sure you drink a lot of water!!!

My thoughts - stop taking hydroxycut. have some will power when it comes to snacking with the kids. learn how to count calories.

Few things that jumped out at me. The first being you being hungry for snacks. Unless you get heart burn, there is nothing wrong with eating later/before bed. It is just a myth that if you go to bed right away your body will store it as fat. If I were you, I'd leave some extra calories so that you can eat the snack.

Toss the hydroxycut in the garbage. You don't need it and OTC diet pills don't really work (some people have a placebo effect, but that's it). It is basically just an overpriced caffeine pill.
