well, over the holiday season I would say my eating habbits were not exactly ideal. I just have read (in science based books) that doing a cleanse of your system is not a bad thing. Sometimes all the bad food can build up inside your body. Additionally, I have high blood pressure and do not want to clog anything up. I do watch my salt intake carefully for this.

Which holidays? Earth Day? Because honestly that's the only date on my calendar that is recent enough that someone may still be holding onto some waste from.

OK, between this and the santa hat wearing food, I'm cracking up.

Especially the Santa food. This is all I can imagine:

What bad food and where does it go (inside your body)?

So from all the kind words I'll take the detox is a no go? Lol. It was a question.. Wasn't going to use my dying breath buying a tea-tox. Earth day joke was funny though.. Like that!

I've been thinking of the things that make me feel clean and refreshed, and they all have to do with water. Drink two cups of water. Run for twenty minutes and work up a sweat. Drink two more cups of cold water. Have a hot shower.

That would sum up a pretty good clean feeling.

I drink Clipper Organic Detox tea. Not because it claims to detox me but because it tastes nice. 20 bags for £1.40. Bargain. No con. No claims. Just a tasty tea ha ha x

Great advice. When I am hydrated, sweat a lot, shower, and rehydrate, I always feel so "clean." I realize it's just mental, but it's so powerful.

I hear your interested in teatox.

I have some 5inch floppy disks you might be interested in buying. They are future proof. We will always use floppy disks.

I've tried the Bootea diet with no meat for two weeks and it worked really well for me! Lost 6lbs over the two weeks, waiting two weeks before I use it again, this time with meat haha! Definitely recommend!

You recommend laxatives? That is an asinine recommendation.

The laxative effect was not extreme for me, I carried on with working etc. I just think that for people who are beginning losing weight it's a great motivational booster, I'm continuing with healthy eating after the Bootea diet x

You obviously didn't eat in a healthy manner when doing the foolish laxative regimen. It is a waste of money and a foolish course of action. Defending it using logic is impossible.

If laxatives motivate you, that is sad.

Interesting fact, today is Lei Day (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lei_%28garland%29). That calls for some celebration, right?

How have you guys done with Tea-Toxes? Good or bad?

If you're just adding some normal herbal teas (like chamomile tea, for instance) into your already healthy diet, then that's fine. But if you're drinking those weird special weight loss laxative teas and ESPECIALLY if you're having ONLY those weird weight loss laxative teas and you're not eating any actual food....then that's probably really bad.

    Why is that

    Mainly science.

This. Because if you have kidneys and a liver your body detoxes itself.

The only ones that actually do anything will have "snake oil" in the top 5 ingredients.
