about Crossfit??

I've been doing a Crossfit type class for a bit now.. just wondering if it's as big a "thing" other places?
I can't seem to find it in the Database & was wondering does anyone have a clue what the cals burned might actually be. ( No Sadly I don't have a HRM to figure it out :(

    Hi there - the calories burned are different for everyone. From what I understand, some people (that don't have HRM) use circuit training from the database.

    I just started CrossFit about a week ago. Based on my heart rate monitor, I burn 550-650 for a 60-70 minute workout. I'm 5'1" and 153 lbs. Without a HRM to estimate your calorie burn, you might want to log it as calisthenics or circuit training?

    Thanks for the ideas...I have been listing my workouts as circuit training so far.. Hopefully the cals are about right :)
