Oh i know that i ate horrible before mfp. I would eat chips and dip or icecream while i would watch the Biggest Loser on tv . And now i have 100 calorie bag of popcorn ! Its funny how that MFP can just change your life all together !0
-
I never checked, but I bet it would pass 5000 a day.0

Including the 6 beers, according tot he mfp counters, I averaged 6500 a day.
the site has me at 1770 now. only on 3rd day, I feel pretty hungry0 -
I ate like a mindless zombie never any vegetables and very rarely I ate fruit. I pretty much lived off bagged, boxed and frozen foods0

I'm afraid to even enter all the stuff I used to eat. I would sit down at night and fix some air pop popcorn but then i would put at least half a stick of butter on it and then after eating that I would eat several Tbsp of peanutbutter. Now if i want peanut butter I measure out 2 Tblsp and log it and with my popcorn i now spray it with butter flaovored cooking spray. Tast just as good without all the calories.0

Mostly drank pop, fast food at least 5 days a week, I added butter to everything i cooked and my favorite way to cook me is to fry it up in a lot of oil. I also ate out at all you can eat places at leat 3 times a month. And it doesnt help having a large family and th e point of getting together is to eat food There is always a birthday happening. :S I am worried about the get togethers the most.0

I must have been up to 3000 calories a day. Probably 4000 on weekend if you add alcohol. This is why I ballooned up to over 240 lbs. I started to change my eating habits about 45 days before finding MFP. I had dropped about 20 lbs before joining. The site has extremely helpful with tracking food and opening my eyes to what I had been putting into my body.0

Pre-MFP, I actually did ok since I'd been on Weight Watchers for a year. However, BEFORE THAT, it was rediculous! I wouldn't be surprised if I got up to 5000 calories or better some days. Breakfast would be something like a donut and latte from Dunkin Donuts or toast with peanut butter (not bad in and of itself but we're talking two big pieces of homeade style bread with 2 Tbsp of PB each....). Lunch would be a sandwich on that same bread from the cafeteria and would be a tuna melt or turkey rachel with a bag of chips and a soda. Then I'd have a snack of chocolate or cookies (several) some time in the afternoon. And I might have another snack in the car on the way home. Then I'd eat some rediculous portion of food for dinner. It's no wonder I got up to 260!
AND I'd usually follow that up with a drink or two at night. Not the diet and rum I have now but coffe brandy and milk! Geez...0 -
I'm not even sure where I would start. I honestly don't believe it was the food (albeit, I mostly ate processed foods due to 'time constraints' and pure laziness). My issue was the alcohol consumption and not moving. Between that and eating 3 meals regularly during the week and hardly anything over the weekend... After Really taking control and Paying Attention! (something I never wanted to do before... I was in such denial)... It baffles me that I ever wondered Why all I could do was maintain such a high weight.
Trying to teach myself how to maintain my metabolism with consistent, Healthy eating has Really opened my eyes. I hope I never go back to my old ways... even though it's only really been about 3 weeks since I've actually put forth some effort.0 -
the food i was eating was about the same.
but the quanitities were off. I was thinking I was eating more/less that I really was.0 -
I actually only ate 800-1000 calories a day, however drinking was a different story, 4-5 energy drinks most days and went to the bar 5-6 days a week and probably drank another 1000-1500 calories a day. I will never give up drinking, but I pace myself and drink water between drinks now too :-)0

I was eating around 3200 calories per day -- and most of it was highly processed, high fat, carb loaded junk.
Me too. Mostly fast food, too. :blushing:0 -
There was a time I was eating between 3000-5000 cal a day....then I found this site...and it took me almost two months before I could get it under control I still struggle but I have most of it under control now...0

I would say on an average anywhere from 6000 to 10000 calories a day. I was eating out at least 3 times a day. That was a minimum. I would go to a buffet twice a week. I would wreck shop there. I still go to the buffet because I can't resist the pizza there but now I limit myself to 2 slices and 6 wedges. Before I would have about three plates with 2 slices each plate plus an enormous amount of wedges hot wings and what not. Not to mention the 4-5 refills of pepsi I would have. I think I was/am so addicted to fast food because of the grease. I miss it to a point but then I have to remind myself whats better, feeling good or feeling like crap all the time without any will or energy to do anything!0

Before this site (which was this time last week!) I used to eat all day long, I'd pick at things constantly especially chocolate (Dairy Milk, Galaxy, Maltesters etc etc) It wasn't unusal for me to eat a couple of huge bags of chocolates or a couple of large chocolate bars each day. We also had a lot of take away - Chinese, KFC, McDonalds, Fish & Chips, Pizza etc. I wouldn't dare put it all into this site though to see the calorie intake, I'd be so embarressed to know exactly what it was.0

I didn't have MFP last year so I wrote everything on paper but counted carbs rather than calories. I use to eat so much carbs and process food! I've been keeping a food diary for 1.5 years now and a lot more mindful of what I eat.0

Oh, I was out of control!! Eating out... Mexican, McDonald's, Dairy Queen and I mean everyday! I had to be 3 or 4xs over my allowed calories a day. What a difference MFP has made this past week. My first weigh in for my diet is tomorrow morning, and I have high hopes.0

I was eating 80% super healthy by food volume. Lots of lentils, veggies, fruits, lean meat etc.
It was the other 20% of the food that was the problem.0 -
I'd say over 4,000. I had a binge eating problem , or for the most part, "eating my emotions" LOL. It's a little funny to me because looking back at it, I should have known better and I could have done better.0
