    Same. Tom Platz couldn't even do 5 sets of 50 at 225. Strong e-stats

    No easy way to say: everything in this post is wrong.

    You actually burn more calories per set to failure lifting light weights (eg 40% of 1 RM) compared to heavy weights (eg 90% of 1 RM). Like 2-3x more (although still not a huge amount). The reason is simple: significantly more time working. And the "afterburn" is the same.
