Freaking out about (TMI alert) my poop color

Thanks for the help. I think. Ha, just kidding. Great (and humorous) comments.
Atypicalsmith, good point about not eating enough. It's not on purpose. I haven't felt ravenous as usual (maybe getting rid of artificial sweeteners in my body helped?). I also noticed not all of my food was logged, but that's only the difference of a couple hundred calories on a couple of days.
Anyway, I'll try to stick closer to my plan this week, which is about 2,500 calories/day.
Good! Your wife and children need you!0 -
My poop is green everyday! It's normal and it happens to me when I eat lots of greens (I put spinach in my smoothies). When I don't eat as many greens I notice the color changes back to tan or brown. Nothing to worry about!0

I've mostly substituted water for Diet Coke. I drink over 100 ounces of agua a day now. I'll have about two 12-ounce cans of a Stevia-sweetened soda a day. I plan on bringing that down once my I NEED DIET COKE NOW phase is over.0 -
Hey, at least its not bright green like my grandaughters was when she ate the blue, flavored, apple sauce...0

Not a darned thing wrong with Diet Coke. Much better than (yuck) coffee or (yucker) energy drinks. Why are you quitting Diet Coke?0 -
try eating a bunch of beets. freak you out the next day
(Freaked out good and proper the first time sweetcorn sailed right through, though...)0 -
Atypicalsmith, my nutrition consultant wants me to avoid artificial sweeteners. Plus, I was drinking about three huge refills a day plus multiple cans of Diet Coke every day. That can't be good. FWIW, I've never drank coffee or energy drinks.0

Also, my doctor just sent me a message to stop worrying about the color of my poop right now (more details than that, but that was the gist).
Now to eat some beets and see what happens ...0 -

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! I heart this thread so hard. One of the first time's I pooped green I was bewildered and excitedly exclaimed to my BF, "I took the biggest hulk poo ever!!!"
He didn't find it as amusing. I'm so glad I found you all.0 -
Mine gets green when I eat Froot Loops or drink orange juice. If I drink 1L of Mountain Dew it turns almost whitish. So, anyway, green poop should be fine.
Oh, and have you ever had like a large slushie drink, especially the blue? No joke, it turned the WATER IN THE TOILET blue. Amazing. Those food dyes are no joke.0 -
I used to drink Full Throttle energy drink, poop was as green as the "Preview" and "Post Reply" buttons at the bottom of the page.0

Well, look, maybe the cat is trying to eat at a deficit. You don't know what the cat's macro goals are.
My kids would absolutely LOVE this thread. I hope there's one on farting next. That will have them occupied for a week if not more of random spontaneous giggles throughout the day.
OP, I hope you get your green poop figured out.

Could it be that the waste is moving to quickly through your digestive track? You mentioned you have changed your diet it could be that you just "unclogged" the pipes.. When your stool is a tarry black color.. That's when you should start worrying.. I think you will live.. ;-)0

My turmeric capsules sometimes give me a lovely yellow tinged poopy. It's funny. I only take one in a morning now instead of two pahhahahaha0

And here I have been worrying that my dinner of 3 cups of boiled beets on Tuesday have not demonstrated themselves as expected in my poop yet ^ thankfully I can probably blame that on the iron supplement I've recently started taking, phew!0

Now you know never to listen to Dr. Oz. keep up the good work Jody!0
