Weight Loss Cures What?!?!

I confess that I am a yo-yo dieter. I can literally drop 20 pounds in a month when I put my heart and soul into eating well and exercising. Then the next thing I know, I've given up and the weight is back. One thing that I have noticed in my ups and downs is that when I lose a good amount of weight, physically there are improvements that seem unrelated to weight. For example, at a lower weight, I never had problems with asthma or allergies. I also noticed at a lower weight, elimination is at a more frequent and healthy pace. Has anyone else noticed general imporovements in health once they've lost weight. Please share! I believe that this will serve as motivation to those who want to see what else they will get out of losing weight besides improved happiness and fitness.

Gasssp. I'm gonna have to agree w/ the elimination part--it seems to just be all-around better.
My back hurts less as I drop weight. I used to have back pain so badly that I would just lay in bed & not do anything.
    I'm more flexible. LOL.
My eyesight is better...this is more towards controlling my insulin resistance, though.
I sweat less ! I remember being outside & just being seeped w/ sweat, not doing anything. Now I can be outside on a sunny day & not worrying about looking like I just came out of a pool. :P

I know when i'm at a lower weight my asthma doesn't bother me as much. I've never had that luck with allergies though.

Not sure if this is along the same lines or not, but cutting my toenails used to be really hard because it was so uncomfortable. I still don't enjoy cutting them, but comfort-wise, it's much better! Also, more water covers my body in the bath now. I like that.

Thanks for mentioning the sweat issue, I thought I was the only one, I look forward to that aspect improving.

Thank you for sharing! I think a lot of tasks become less difficult and the embarassment factor regarding things you can't do wanes as well.
