I'm not a fan and don't do her videos. I think she does aim her marketing at women who don't know any better. But many, maybe even most, women do know better. Gwyneth isn't the top of the list of 'most disliked celebrities' because woman are too stupid to see past her baloney, for example. (I mention her because she's TA's most vocal supporter.)

I think outside the celebrity trainer follower crowd, TA's not that successful. Which is great. Last thing we need is another Jillian dominating the video market.

Well, I did the whole "Precision Toning" dvd today. It has to go back to the library tomorrow. As for those who assume I'm not well-versed in fitness, I did specialize in kinesiology. I've also studied modern dance and ballet, competed in gymnastics, done a bit of triathlon training, and worked out with the power lifting team at school. I just choose not to focus on one activity. I've had great results using mfp and many different kinds of workouts, including Tracy Anderson, Jillian Michaels, and Denise Austin.

Tracy markets towards women who believe in crash diets and that light weights cause bulkiness. She has her niche audience and is able to make money off her products ... that is the actual method of her money making madness.

Lol, well I have yet to see a male wanting to do Tracy's videos, hence the comment directed towards females. And if they were well versed in fitness, they probably wouldn't bother with her videos.

@ninerbuff has made it their mission to look up all of the Tracy Anderson forums and bash her. I've seen this person on everyone that I went into looking for information. I find it kind of creepy. If you are a guy and don't think it is a good method why are you searching it out? Find something else to do with your time. We are intelligent enough to do our own research. Don't assume because we see a fit body we will automatically take that person's advice. :#

She specifically says " finding ways to exercise that you enjoy is the key thing" not do whatever is enjoyable. I do like Anderson's exercises when I need a break from high-intensity cardio , or working the muscles in a different way from heavy lifting. It seems that there can be a place for almost any type of exercise. I do Yoga and Pilates sometimes, too. I don't see how it is much different from that.

just pointing it out my friend... you may like Tracy Anderson- but I bet my next pay check on your results compared to mine I'll get there faster and be way happier.

    results, my friend, matter.

Yes but if you hate what you're doing to get them, failure is almost guaranteed. Anything that gets someone up and moving is good.

Clearly she isn't my cup of tea but I'm sure what I do isn't everyone's either. I've never watched her videos before but I'll give her high marks on nice hair. I'd almost do them for nice hair.

I do not think I have heard of this woman before, or I do not remember her. I do not have an problem with the exercises she is doing in the video that someone posted in this thread. What she is doing reminds me of some of the stretches I do.

Nope I don't search her out. It's the other way around. People post a thread on her before searching to see if a current one exists (believe it or not it's like that with A LOT of threads here). I comment because I doubt if the person posting this thread will see my comments in a TA thread that was previously posted.
And I'm a TRAINER by profession. I try to help people to be more EFFICIENT with their time, money and energy by debunking people like TA and Dr. Oz. If you see fault with that, then feel free to ignore my posts.

I saw a few clips on YouTube (years ago I guess now). She looks sloppy doing those exercises, honestly. It's weird to see someone with dancing experience move so haphazardly, just swinging limbs around. Also I have no idea what "accessory" muscles are. Also later research suggests she stole those (possibly bad, I don't know) ideas from Callanetics.
