Not former military, but thank you for your service.0

I miss the travel, the brotherhood, and the honor of wearing the uniform; however, it was not a career choice for me. USN 99-03 MM(N)2 USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) RP12/050

I do, but still work for the Navy with Recruits so it's like I never left.0
-
Thank you for your service!0

I miss the camaraderie, travel and the uniform, but I am retired after 25 years in the Air Force. Now I am a DoD civilian and work on a military base so I still feel like a part of it.0

4 years in Marine Corps. 1972 to 1976. I miss the shape I was in. Don't miss my friends, because we are still friends. Riding to Sturgis next year with one of them.0

I did 4 years active at Camp Lejeune 1993-1997 and then did another 3 in the reserves. I'm currently working as a civilian at Cherry Point.0

Its a double edge sword, I miss alot of the things I used to do. I wonder if it was because I was half crazy the other half just plain stupid. Its like volunteering to take point.......0

USMC 1997-2006. I miss it every day I wake up. The brotherhood, the structure, the deployments, the training, ALL of it. Unfortunately, after my tour in Iraq, I had to get out. I have no regrets and I would do it all over again! SEMPER FI!0

Also...THANK YOU to all my brothers and sisters who served before me. Thank You for paving the way so I could serve our great nation.0

USN... no regrets, teaches you the age old acronym = Never Again Volunteer Yourself...0

I miss the travel, friendships and the belief that what I was doing had real purpose and meaning in the world. I don't miss the 'hurry up and wait' nor the 'rank has it's privileges' mentality - even though I find they apply in the civilian world as well.
Also, thank you to all who served.0 -
I still in Airforce
anyone in Florida??0 -
I miss so much about it. But, I got out so I wouldn't have to be away from my kids as much.0
