You said a lower number on the scale, so I'm guessing you lost something. That's better than nothing!0

The scale is a liar.0

Why does the scale matter? Aren't you trying to lose weight to look and feel better? Sounds like you look and feel better, so celebrate that.
A noticeable change in the way your clothes fit after only a month is a huge accomplishment! Be proud of what you've done.0 -
Decided I'm not getting on the scale anymore, just the clothes fit0

How will you know what kind of progress you're making if you don't weigh yourself regularly. If you're losing inches, you should be losing weight too. A little anyways. Are you just going to base your loss off of how your clothes fit, or going to take your measurements? If you aren't going to weight, you should at least take bust/waist/hip/thigh/arm measurements to track progress.
Are you weighing & measuring everything you eat. Tracking everything? Weight loss isn't linear and if you aren't seeing a loss you might be over estimating the calories you're ingesting.0 -
Yes, still weigh and measure yourself. Just don't let those numbers dictate your mood or your self-worth. They are tracking tools. That's it. Remove the emotion from them and just focus on getting healthier.0

Take pictures. The scale will change constantly, but pictures never lie.0

I'm the other way round, I've lost 14 pounds but my pants are still tight! It must have all come off my hands, hehe. Keep with it, surely it'll all marry up at some point.0

That's funny, I'm feeling better, wore a scrub outfit last night that was to tight, yeah for me!0

My son has started exercising with me, so it's all good!0

My scale isn't budging either, but my clothes are fitting a little better. That means my body is getting smaller and (hopefully) stronger. Your weight is just a number, and it's not like you walk around with it plastered on your forehead. People WILL notice if you look toned and healthy, though.0

I used to weigh myself daily and started to become discouraged as the number wasn't shifting. I decided that I would weigh myself once week (same day, same time) and my first weigh in I lost 5lbs in a week. With me weighing myself once a week it makes me focus more on my diet as I need to work hard all week eating well to see a result on the scales. What the scales say does give you an indication on weight loss I believe in a few other tools too which we should all utilise;
- Before / After pics (I'm seeing a gradual change in my physique which is keeping me motivated)
- Taking measurements (Since I've started measuring I've lost inches around my belly but gained around chest, thighs, arms which the latter is all muscle)
You shouldn't find yourself being concerned if the scale doesn't shift. If you yourself are feeling better, clothes aren't as tight then that's the main thing in my opinion as the only true judge on how you're progressing is yourself.
Definitely be proud of where you are now compared to when you started your journey! Stay focused and I'm sure you will start to see those numbers falling sooner than you think! You can do this, as can anyone else on their journey!0 -
Thank you all for your words of encouragement, it's nice to know your not the only one with the same issues!0
