Okay, I am completely hooked on smoothies at breakfast. But I have a basic go to that I use almost all the time. I love it but would like to get some other backups in my recipe box in case I feel daring one day. Oh, I do have a dairy allergy so dairy please! If it can easily be subbed with almond milk or coconut milk, I will try it though.

My Current go to:
-8floz 30cal almond milk
-5g chia seeds
-1/2 banana
-1/2 apple
-1 carrot
-2cups spinach

As you can see by the Apple, carrot, banana I do have a sweet tooth but have tried nonsweet smoothies too!

Question?? how do you make smoothies with spinach and apples etc. I have a ninja that i paid $200 for and when I try to make smoothies it comes out with all that pulp and taste horrible. What mixer do you use?

berries, pineapple, lettuce spinach mix, cucumber, celery, cilantro, parsley, broccoli, chia and a few drops of stevia for extra sweetness.

Lately I've been throwing a couple of tablespoons of oats into mine and love it.

    1 handful spinach
    1/2 banana
    1/4th cup walnuts
    2 tbsp oats
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    1 tbsp pure maple syrup

I always use almond milk depending on how thick I want it. Or depending on what I'm using sometimes I go with coconut water.

Yes get a vitamix if you can. It's the best gadget we ever bought and the smoothies come out really smooth.

I love my morning smoothies as well. I have two favorite recipes.

    My usual weekday one is:
    1-1 1/2 cups Kale
    1 cup of strawberries
1/2 cup of raspberries or blackberries (or a mix of the two)
    1 tbsp of almond butter
1 cup of almond milk (unsweetened/original)
    Honeybee Pollen
2 tbsp of egg white protein powder
(I sometimes throw 1/3 of a banana in there, too)

    My weekend fun smoothie:
1 cup of chopped pineapple (I buy the frozen 365 brand from whole foods)
    1 cup of spinach
    1 cup of almond milk
1 tbsp of chopped jalapenos (seeded and membrane mostly removed)
    Honeybee pollen
A few sprigs of mint leaves

Wow I've never seen those combinations before! Now I'm curious to try jalapeno or bee pollen in a smothie.
I've only used kale once. Does it come out smooth like spinach or is there a noticeable difference?

The trick with any of the darker, leafy greens you use is to blend them first with your almond milk (or whatever liquid base you are using). That way it comes out nice and smooth. I found that the mint leaves can be a bit stringy, so I'm thinking of a mint dropper for that.

I used bee pollen in my smoothies to help with my allergies. It's local bee pollen and that is important if you are doing it to help if you are allergic. But be very careful with it. Only start out with a few granules to make sure you won't have a reaction. Do some research on it first.

I've just started adding manuka honey into my morning smoothies, too.
