Hi there,
My husband and I finally joined the gym tonight. We both have alot of weight to lose. Even though we are doing this together I'm still focusing on my personal journey. I'm 37 years old and have been morbidly obese since I was 22 years old. I know all the reasons that got me here. Now I'm going to turn all this anger and disappointment into something positive. I'm nervous and excited at the same time. Please wish me luck on this endevour. I look forward to meeting new friends on here!!

I'd say "Good luck," but it's really not so much luck as determination, and it sounds like you have plenty of that! You can do it!0

Best of luck to you! Browse the success stories on here. You'll see that many people have been able to do this and you can as well! One piece of advice would be that a food scale will be very important. Learn how to weigh everything that you consume. It's very important to be as accurate as possible. That's the only thing you need to buy. No diet pills, shakes or any of that nonsense. You can do this :-)!0

You're only 37 - that in itself is great - you are young. Make your mind up (which you have) and stick to it. This journey is about determination and perseverance. Never give up, no matter what. Always make space for yourself and your progress, no matter what else impinges on your life. Keep going and if you have a bad day, move on, and start again on the next day. No guilt. Just learn from mistakes and keep going. Before you know it, you will be well on your way. Good luck.0

To all of you, thank you so much for those encouraging words and advice!! Yesterday I got rid of all the junk food and soda from my kitchen. I re-stocked my cabinets and refriderator with healthy clean eating foods. I've been doing alot of reading about the dangers of sugar. I was consuming alot of sugary drinks like gaterade along with soda. Now the only things I'm drinking is water and green tea. I'm keeping track of my calories here on myfitnesspal. Most important I'm staying positive and keeping my eye on the goal. Thank you to all of you again!!!0
