Study snacks?

Starting in June, I will be starting classes again to prepare for a Master's program (have to redo a few classes as pre-reqs since they were taken 5+ years ago). I have found that I prefer to study at the library because there are less distractions. On days that I go to the library to study, I can be there for 6+ Hours. In the past I would have just brought calorie laden snacks with me since if I'm hungry I don't study well. I am looking for ideas on some snacks I can bring that don't have to be refrigerated since I don't plan on bringing my small cooler with me. I need ideas that are wheat, barley, and oat free. Please don't suggest protien bars- I find most of them taste nasty to me.

Thank you in advance :).

Slim Jim's. Crackers with stuff in the middle. I like the lance grilled cheese and honey/peanut butter ones. Fruit gummies. Fig newtons.

Good idea! Will have to only bring a preportioned amount though. I can see myself eating the entire bag lol.

None of those are wheat free (not 100% about slim jims).

I know. I just read your thoughts on them on another thread. I was like...wow, tell us how you really feel.

Oh man, that was an important thing to miss. Well on track with slim Jim's, what about those snack pepperonis? Or string cheese?

    Fruit
    Cheese
Chips and salsa, hummus or guacamole (you can find all of these in individual serving packages)
Pack a small thermos with soup or chili
Bring a thermal lunch bag with sandwiches (gluten free wraps) and veggies with dip

Haha it's okay :). I haven't found a pepperoni like stick (like slim jims) that are safe for me to try yet (unless you meant the actual pepperoni, in which case yum!). I love string cheese but I find they don't stay well in my bag.

They make these big packs of little slices of pepperoni, but I'm not entirely sure if they need to be kept cool. They are yummy though.

Can you eat popcorn? you could always pop some and put it into a paper bag in case there is no microwave.

Didn't think about nuts, good idea. Not a fan of eggs though.

I don't think I've ever had guacamole or humus lol. Will look into it though/try it.

Not sure. Will check if they have some that don't need to be refrigerated.

Cheese sticks & sliced apples, the little pre-portioned hummus thingys and snap peas and/or baby carrots, raw almonds and dark chocolate chips. And as we move into summer, grapes, apricots, cherries (as long as you have a place to spit the pits!), blueberries, etc.
