Foreign Films on Netflix?

I have a terrific job. In the rare times that everything is running smoothly I have time to kill at my desk and am allowed to watch Netflix but I need the sound very, very low so I need subtitles. Recently I have been on a foreign film (non English) kick.

I just watched a fabulous Spanish film called Living Is Easy With Eyes Closed. Loved it!

Any suggestions for ones that you really liked? Thanks

when did the world allow "not English" to mean foreign. Much like "eastern" and "western" civilization (meaning the world centers around white Europe) I just find this distinction insulting.

I enjoy watching foreign films but I don't have Netflix.

These are fairly well known movies so I guess you'd probably find them on Netflix, can't think of more at the moment

    Pans labyrinth
Oldboy (they made a remake a while ago, not that)
    The hunt

There's also anime from studio ghibli/animated movies if you are interested, you'd find them in English dubs and subtitles

    Grave of the fireflies
    Spirited away
    Princess mononoke
    Nausicaa

Amelie is a classic and nearly everyone who sees it counts it among their top whatever films of all time. Last time I watched, it was not in English. But really, you should be able to turn closed caption on for anything.

If you enjoy Anime, Attack on Titan is pretty awesome.

Do not watch The Boy in the Striped Pajamas at work. You will cry. Trust me. It's extremely sad.

The miniseries for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is really good.

Most of the Korean horror flicks are great. I haven't seen a bad one yet.

Bollywood knows how to do drama romance. Hum dil de chuke sanam is my favorite. Romance without nudity and sex. Hindi films are great at using eye glances, and body language to show feelings rather than a make out session. I don't like their horror though.
