my toddler has decided that I'm not eating enough and is regularly trying to smush sandwiches into my face.
I've tried telling him "mommys full".
I've tried swatting it away.
I've tried putting the sandwich on his head but that just leads to flying sandwiches.
What do I dooooo?
(Happy Friday folks)

That;s so cute. Kids like to feed people so just pretend to eat it and make silly mwah mwah mwah noises. Make it a game. That's what I used to do with my kids.0

Ha! Hilarious! I'm a nanny, and I've found distraction helps. "Look, is that a purple elephant in our backyard? You'd better go investigate!" Or I like the idea of pretending to eat it.0

Awww! My 4 year old does the same thing. She always tries to share her food with me and I just pretend to take a bite. Happy Friday!!0

I am somewhat amazed that this is s common thread amongst the toddler set!
At least he's not belting Let It Go while throwing sandwiches at me!0 -
Where is he getting all these sandwiches?
Maybe get some play food to pretend to eat?
It has been a long time since the toddler years here and pretending to eat or drink dd's creations.
Happy Friday!

My son is the same way. Pretend to eat. Make chewing sounds and say yum... :-)

After my niece shoved some piece of food in my mouth and I realized it had already been in her mouth, I had to go with the pretend chewing thing!0

Bahahaha! Oh yes, the pre eaten food. And offered so kindly!0

Ok, so.
Sandwich1: hummus on whole wheat, cut in 4...rejected
Sandwich2: hummus on whole wheat cut in 2....rejected
Sandwich3: hummus and spinach wrap...rejected
Sandwich4: hummus with cheese....rejected
Sandwich5: hummus with cheese on the purple plate cause purple is the best color....accepted
Note: this is hyperbole, but damn if it doesn't feel this way sometimes!0 -
Do you have play food? Maybe have a post-lunch tea party.0

My kid often tries to stuff my face with goldfish crackers. I try to distract her and tell her I don't want any, but Elmo (or any of her other dolls) wants some. Then she pretends to feed it to them. It's adorable.0

I have 2 boys a 4 year old and 2 year old. The both love to eat and guard their food from the other and their dad. lol. On rare occasions my 2 year old will try to feed me stuff. I usually just eat a piece and then tell them "MOMMY IS SO FULL NOW...MMMMM"0

My toddler makes me color by pushing the crayon in my hand. These toddlers be crazy.0

My daughter (2 yrs) asks if I want some but usually just steals my food lol0

At least it's not pre-chewed? I have very distinct memories of my younger brother as a toddler, taking pieces of banana from his mouth and trying to feed it to our mother.0

He's clearly trying to sabotage you.0 -
You say
You're right, I'm not eating enough...I'm going to eat your nose / tummy / hand and you make big chomping noises as you grab him and tickle him and plant smoochy kisses all over him saying in a deep voice "imma gonna eat you all up...omnomnom"
Because you're his mum
And that's what mums do0 -

Purple is totally the best color.
This is a normal toddler stage...it probably doesn't have anything to do with your diet/weight loss.0
