Want to get back to this but struggling.

A few years ago I learnt to run - as I discovered a love of running without giving it too much thought I changed my eating habits. I ate to fuel my body for every run with a mindset that this would help me to run faster and stronger. It worked and I did and the weight just fell away.
I then became complacent thinking that I could still run fast and strong no matter how I fuelled my body.
I was wrong....... Over the past two years I have steadily become slower and weaker on my runs and have gained over 2 stone in weight!
It makes me so unhappy ..... I am still running (just did the London marathon & have a place in the great north run in Sept) but I want to be slim, fit and healthy when I run.
Any support on how to sort myself out and eat like I used to fuelling with the right foods would be really appreciated :/u6jp37p8cu8g.jpg

good for you. I got your back. I ran my first marathon in 2002 and felt awesome. I've gotten older and heaver since and added over an hour to my marathon time since. I am running one, maybe two this year. The goal is to lose weight while adding a lot of cardio. It is hard, but we can do it.

Hi! I'm a new runner. A marathon?! Wow. I can only dream of that.

Like MV said cardio + losing weight can be rough but it's totally doable! I've struggled with "fueling" issues.

Add me if you'd like! :)
