The Advocare trend on facebook drives me nuts. I ask for specifics on what toxins are being flushed out. No one can apparently answer my question.0

Cleanse or Detox
It's as if these people don't realize they have lungs/liver/kidneys that constantly detox our bodies.0 -
What about "boost your metabolism" or "reset your metabolism/body"? haha so many things that are said. It's hard to wade through if any of it has some truth to it.0

No... I'm sorry, coming from someone who was once strongly in denial about being Morbidly Obese, there is no such thing as the above two statements. Think of it like this, for every ten pounds of weight gained the heart needs to pump blood through roughly 70 additional miles of blood vessels. That added strain on the heart of 25, 50, 100 extra pounds adds up. Sure, you may not have any health problems in your 20s or early 30s, but the cumulative damage starts to add up. There are lots of old people but there aren't lots of fat old people.0 -

"Every body is different". Nope. Unless there is some disorder or medical issue, we aren't all amazing special snowflakes who work completely differently to eachother.
There's a reason why vets and farmers treat all of a species of animal in the same way (with consideration to size of course). It boggles my mind that peoploe don't think this carries over.0 -
