Hey guys, so I've been doing constant excersice for about 3 weeks now and also 1200 - 1600 calories a day. However, instead of losing weight I find myself gaining! What am I doing wrong? And has this happened to anyone else??!

Are you measuring and weighing your food accurately? Once I started using a food scale I started losing weight at a faster pace because I was no longer guessing my portions.0

A 400 calorie variance in logged food? Is that because you eat differently from day to day or because you are guessing? Most of the time when you are not losing, it's because you are not eating at a deficit. The exercise is mostly irrelevant. Get your food in order.0

Measuring cups, measuring spoons, food scale.0

If you aren't fooling yourself about how much you exercise and how many calories you eat, it will come off. Many, many people wait as long as six weeks to see the results. Have faith.0

Also, if you've recently increased exercise you may be retaining water.0

Ok so when I said 1200 - 1600, I meant I don't go over nor below that amount - and yes I've measured them. How would I know of in retaining water? And idk I'm confused, I thought doing cardio plus weight and a little dieting would be enough. I cut soda and all junk food. this is frustrating0

how hard are you working when training?0

Can you open your diary?0

Either water, or building muscle, I also heard if you do the same exercise your body get use to it, and cause it to Plateau, or detox, to jump start like your "brand new"0

If OP is truly consuming 1,200-1,600 calories a day, she is unlikely to be gaining muscle. Gaining muscle is hard!

What are your stats ie whats your height and current weight? 1200-1600 is a massive difference in calorie intake. Which one would you normally hit daily? How are you measuring your foods? Cups are not accurately, you need to be weighing with a digital scale to be precise! Are you eating your exercise calories back and how are you determining how many calories you are burning per workout?0
